I can’t recall if I had nausea that far out. I think my only bout of unexplained nausea was the day after surgery.Seconding this! I was in the hospital for two days after my sleeve because of nausea. I still felt a little pukey for maybe one more day, but I'm a week out now and its pretty much gone. Definitely ask them about it.
I'm still a gas machine, but no wanting to upchuck, thankfully.

At six weeks post I’ll ask for the scale back and weigh myself once a week Monday mornings.Me too! Congrats for completing the first week!
Sounds like your kids are awesome. Hiding it for a while sounds like a great idea. .... I think I'm going to follow your lead. Or at least hide it from my self Wednesday through monday every week. -
A friend of mine doing her own weight loss thing is buying her self a sticker to put on her water bottle for every 5 pounds. I've got to be thrifty, so right now I'm leaning towards something like that. I love the skin care and salon idea's too!

Maybe you could put a flower pot in front of it. . .Only kind of kidding.
I think a lot of the other peeps on here have the right idea though, so long as you know there will be fluctuations and don't beat your self up about it, it can be okay? I have a lot of work to do around that my self. -
I Have SOOO much respect for those of you that can weigh daily and not let the stalls and fluctuations get you down! I think I could some weeks, but my head space changes so much! You all are an inspiration though, It gives me so much hope to see how well everyone is doing, no matter their schedule or lack there of with the scale!
@GreenTealael Removing it! Genius. lol, not even kidding. I cant get rid of the one in my house completely...but I might try hiding it between weigh ins. Dont need it sitting there staring at me when ever I have to visit the bathroom.. .Sleeved36 reacted to this -

Ack! Yeah that would be hard!

@GreenTealael I'm pretty tempted by that honestly, it must take a lot of self control!

@Letsgetgoing2018
That sounds so much like me! I'd get tempted on old regular diets and weigh at weird times...and get pretty discouraged. -
@it'sonlythefirststep @FancyChristine15 Thank you for sharing!!
I'm leaning toward weekly my self, sounds like it might be the sweet spot. And you both seem like you're doing great that way!
I definitely don't want to get obsessed, and I know I'm pretty easily discouraged sooo...seeing every little up, stall or fluctuation would probably make me crazy.
@Matt Z Props though! WOW is that dedicated! I think the making sure as many things are the same as can be for every weigh in is a really, really good idea. Looks like its really working for you too! Thanks for sharing!Sleeved36, FancyChristine15 and Matt Z reacted to this -
I'm wondering how often everyone is weighing them selves?
I waited a week to look (this morning) after my surgery. I found the number exciting, but I know it wont always be this substantial. . .
Does getting on the scale daily/weekly/ect get anyone down?
Or do you find it motivating?
Is there a sweet spot frequency wise? -
I think I would like to get my one tat fixed up and embellished on as a sort of mile marker reward when I'm getting close to goal...or need some encouragement. I haven't thought of a new one to Celebrate the change, but it sounds like a great idea! I love the phoenix, perfect symbolism!

My dreams have been VERY weird and vivid too. I was stuck in a LARP game loop or something last night. .. and it was pretty violent/gory, weird. Eventually I basically woke my self up so I could 'switch channels'
I've also had the stuffing my face dreams a few times.
Weird stuff.
I'm not back on my Vitamins yet, but when I get there, the B's are definitely happening in the AM! -
My first cycle came the second day I was in the hospital! I think it was a few days early at least. I think it was probably the shortest and lightest one I've ever had! I kind of hope that continues. . . But seeing as mine have always been a little irregular, I'm probably in for some weirdness!
Really grateful to all of you sharing, it helps to know what I might have coming my way!Frustr8 reacted to this -
My program has decaff as okay post op. I had a decaff Americano yesterday and felt fine. I think I will probably stick to only decaff for a long while though, I definitely dont need more stomach acid or anything.

I haven't when swallowing, but another of the women from the class I took Pre-OP has said that her throat was Very raw after surgery, could that be it?

Hi! New as heck! I will be a week post OP tomorrow. This group just looks like a fantastic idea. I wish I had joined the site before my surgery.
I feel like I'm burping basically every time I drink anything, and its way harder to burp that it was before?
Also I was HANGRY as heck today. I'm hoping I can mitigate that better. I feel like keeping a jug of Bone Broth on me at all times just in case. .
I sort of skimmed the last 40 some pages, but does it seem like really watery poops are normal?
ANYWAY, Thanks for making the topic! Looking forward to the journey!Starr2015, Frustr8 and Kcoley reacted to this
How often do you weigh in?

I could EASILLY see my self doing this! If I could just avoid the getting discouraged part... I was the queen of self sabotage in the past if I started feeling like a failure. Still. . ..It is REALLY hard ignoring the scale today! Yesterday was my weigh day and . . . I'm already wanting to check if my choices yesterday effected the number in a good or bad way.
Thank you for sharing your experiences! Sounds like we kinda go through some really similar thought patterns regarding weigh ins!
I tend to get soo freaked out when I have to weigh at a weird time of day at the docs office and stuff. . I guess its all pretty common though.
