  1. Primrose, Congrats on loosing the 137. 😍🤩 Proud of the great job you have done. Yes it feels that the closer you get to the goal we set up for ourselves the harder it gets. My goal is my daughter's wedding in Dec. 2019 and I'm already stressing out. I have another 40 to go and can not get go down on the scale. I keep hearing that we have to change things up because our body's know what to expect. Best of luck! Please share if you find something that is working for you.

Me, too, but other than that the Hair loss continues and weight does not change. My PA okayed bumping up the Biotin and L-lysine dosages. The other problem is that I live in the land of snow and ice and walking for exercise just is not happening here in the boondocks. I am solving that with my order today for a treadmill -- you know, those metal implements that get converted into a clothes rack after a short time? I surveyed treadmill owners I know who own them...Why did you stop using yours? A. boredom. B. it's in the basement/garage/spare room & I never go in the basement/garage/spare room. So this one goes in the living room, in front of the TV, within good earshot of the music collection. As I've heard before, this weight loss journey is 80% nutrition, 20% exercise, and 100% mental!

Good job in finding something to exercise. I'm having a hard time finding something that will keep me motivative.

How is everyone's monthly losses going? Mine lbs lost per month are steadily decreasing which is making me nervous about reaching my goal. I know.... I know..... we are not supposed to compare ourselves to others but we know we all do..lol

    1st mth - 15.2 lbs

    2nd mth - 10.2lbs

    3rd mth - 8.0 lbs

    4th mth - 4.2 lbs

I have had some stalls in there also, of course. Especially this month I stalled for over 2 weeks, hense only 4.2lbs for the month.

I just wonder if you guys were noticing that you were still losing at a pretty steady average each month or if it was slowing down. I still have another 33lbs to lose to meet my ultimate goal. I do realize as we get closer goal it may be more difficult but i just am not ready for to stop losing yet.

I want to take the best advantage of my "golden time" after surgery.

Same here things are slowing down. The holiday's didn't help but the 3 pounds I gained I lost them. So I'm glad about that.

  4. Funny story..... I was on my last 3 days of my two week all liquid before the V Sleeve. Hurricane on the way so the plan was to stock up on the food for everyone if we loose power for a few days. So bacon is on the list. I just lost it. The smell just so good and I could not cheat with only 3 days left till surgery. SO I LICKED IT!!!!! LMAO I didn't eat it, RIGHT!! But it help kill the craving for eating it. We all find ways to get the craving under control.

  5. I UNDERSTAND THIS IS A NEW CHAPTER IN YOUR LIFE. I was in the middle of my 2 week all liquid when my daughter was having her blow out birthday party. I still went and had a good time. Fill up before you go and take more with you. You are doing this for YOU, Right!!!!!

  6. OMG I just said this last week. Now I am older but 10 yrs ago I had mine reduced to a D cup. Now after V Sleeved it's getting smaller and wished I had never had it done. But we can never see the future. I would wait to see after you loose your weight because of the extra skin and it can be taking care of all at the same time. I am just noticing where the cut was done on the sides that it is looking very loose.

  7. There is nothing wrong with steak as your Protein. By my 5/6 week I had tried a steak grant you only 1 or 2 oz of it and still only up to 3 oz now. Get full fast. When I go out I think of what I want for dinner and lunch/breakfast the next day. Doggie bag heaven. The golden rule is you never deprive yourself always have a taste and the craving should go away. It does help me. I was craving something salty so I licked a potato chip I was only 3 weeks out and could not have solids, but it helped me. We our all at different stages and our bodies will tell us what stage we are in.

Yes! I was always hot before and now I’m freezing - and I still weigh 300lbs!! My highest was 365 so I’m down 65 lbs. I can’t even IMAGINE how cold I’ll be when I lose more weight!! I think I’m going to buy a heating blanket because I’m having trouble falling asleep because I’m so cold!!

Same here was always Hot. Now I have 5 blankets on my bed. That commercial for the weighted blanket, I have it beat. But it is very cozy. Till the Menopause hot flash hits and I have to come out of my cocoon for 2 mins and go back in. LOL

  9. Job well done, Proud of you!!! I know I'm only in the early stages, but I'm still trying to get motivative to get a food and exercise schedule. Because the extra loose skin is starting to show. Glad to hear your pointers. I think I would show those people that picture when they say you are to thin. LOL

Don't beat yourself up for 174 calories! It's 174 calories of real/not over-processed food! This is where you want to get to, not run away from! Personally, I consider a 10/1 ratio acceptable of calories to Protein (174 calories vs 17g protein) for real foods. Sure you get more protein/calorie in Protein Drinks, but you want to move away from those as you get further from your surgery. I think you're doing fine!

WHAT move away from my protein shake!!!!! You just pushed me over the mountain's edge!! LOL I guess I'm stuck then. If I didn't get my Protein Shakes in daily, I would not get my Water or protein in. Looks like I am going to need help.

My husband and 18 year old son are big guys, but I had them beat by 170+ lbs. prior to surgery. Now I am the smallest in my family...tee hee! Feels good! But back to taste buds! I still love to eat as much as ever I did, but not AS MUCH as I used to eat. Big difference. Learning to cook smaller has been a challenge to me and learning to cook different is even more challenging, but I'm taking it on as fun for everyone. I love my family soooo much and their size is, in part, my fault because I was the one who brought the food, habits, and cooking to their plates in the first place. I'm not upset with myself about this in anyway. We all made bad choices and if anything, we let ourselves get fooled, but no more. I can make the most beautiful breads, and Cookies you ever did taste, but not so much anymore for obvious reasons. My taste has changed sooo much too! I love bracing, almost harsh flavors hitting my tongue! Since I can only have at best a 3/4 cup of food, I want every bite to be simply amazing! I'm dragging my family, kicking and screaming sometimes, into my new flavor experiences. I make a wicked good salsa multiple ways now and people ask for it all the time. Its always in my fridge! I keep a beautiful spice garden right on my front porch, new hobby, and I use it daily for my cooking. Tell your wife what's on your mind and instead of flowers to soften the blow, buy her beautiful pots of thyme, rosemary, chives, basil, mint and dill! Try to help her understand that all her lovely Cookies and sweeties are divine but really just food for the Gods! You're a man, a husband, who can't have all the sugars, ever again, and you want many many more years with her, healthy, successful, in love and in shape! When something doesn't taste good to my husband, I'd want him to tell me! I want the feed back so I can make it better. Give her a chance. :)

    So Beautifully put ❤️

  12. Great job, Congrats! On Giving Tuesday I took all my 18/20w pants to the Christin Mission. 6 bags! What a feeling! Found some of my next size down back of the closet. LOL What a feeling of wearing pants that don't feel like you have a load down there. I even had to put a belt on some of them because they would fall off. Now I think back that I should have never gotten my breast reduction 10 years ago. Was a "F" cup to a "D" cup and couldn't move. Now I think I'm loosing it all there. UUGH But I will find this coming summer a swim suit top that will fit and not fall out of.

  13. You are OK! We are not that far off on your stats. I think you are doing fine. As for the feel of being off, I have days too. This is all new and having to learn our bodies all over again. Just keep thinking of the bigger picture and where you want to be a year from now. Proud of you.
