I would be really grateful for any ideas and advise. Thanks
I have lost a regain. We can get a bit complacent years out. Motivation/inspiration is personal. What works for me may not work for you. To put your mind in a more positive frame listen to the video below.
It starts today. giving in, procrastination and excuses won't burn calories and help you lose weight
Some basics:
Make a goal and set a plan.
Adding carbs and sugars make you crave them more. Get all temptation out of the house. Buy healthy food with healthy sweet and salty options for cravings.
Log your food on an app. stay within your calories and macros for each day.

Real food stage - My instructions are four years old. Not all of our plans are the same. Can you eat lentils? My plan is low carb. Yes, if it fits your carbohydrate goal for the day. Eat your Protein goal first then move on to your other foods. Know low carbs will be in weight loss mode. You will be adding more carbs in maintenance phase to slow/stop your weight loss.
How do you know if you have hit your carbohydrate goal for the day? My instructions were to log my food in an app. People use baritastic or myfitnesspal. Log even if its a chore and inconvenient at first. It gets to be a habit. It made things much easier. Your goal right now is to get 60 to 100 gram of protein each day and to stay with in your carbohydrate and calorie goals.

Here is a link to my dietitians bariatric recipes website for food ideas. (note omit rice, white potato, bread pasta) Some of her recipes (Example clam chowder) has white potato but in minimal amounts. She is fine with. Most carbs come from plant based foods.

Mine are tense and tight from activity. Stretching does wonders. Not sure if that was helpful.

I hope you don't mind but I started a thread asking for sleeve surgery instructions. the link is below.

Mine is livable. I can't afford plastics. Boobs and butt are gone. *laughing* At my age never expected to be a bikini model.

Anyone willing to share your paper work on post op instructions and diet progression? We have a new member that had surgery in Mexico and only had verbal instructions.
Hope this help's @lorraine#11

I had mine at 45. I am now 50.

With the sleeve I was told to expect to lose 60% of my weight. We all lose at different rates. Age body physiology, medical issues and medications can be a factor. I was a fast loser. I got to my goal in six months. I would have been fine if it took me a year or more.
What is your age bracket? I wish I would have had this done when I was younger.
-
I'm also a sleeve.
-
I'm doing great. I had surgery years ago. Ask away it's what we are here for.

Wow,
I am so sorry this was your experience. I'm sure there is someone here that would be willing to send you their surgery instructions and diet progression. What type of surgery did you have?

Sent from my SM-G892A using BariatricPal mobile appAre you post op? Can I ask why you have no contact with your surgeon or their office?
Not drinking while your eating takes a bit of practice. It becomes habit.

Tension? Could you explain more.

I went to my second weight management class last week and filled out some paperwork.
One of the questions asked what our goal weight was.
I have no freaking clue! I'm about to be 22, and I'm a 5 foot 2 female.
I weigh 205 pounds now. No clue what I would be happy with?
How did you all decide your goal weight? Did you let your doctor decide for you?
Thanks
The goal is healthy. Whatever that looks like for you.
BMI chart is not perfect. It will give you a guideline for a healthy weight.
