I am also scheduled for 11/21. Trying very hard to contain the nervousness. I keep telling myself I will be healthier. Since I will not be able to enjoy Thanksgiving, I am celebrating it today with family.
Well congratulations on getting closer at least to your surgery. Spend this last couple months lurking around here, soaking ,, up,knowledge. You'll get advice on what to,pack for your hospital stay, what diets are easiest, what Protein Shake tastes the bedt, and there are a lot of different brands, what brand and type of Vitamins are cheapest,what the best, one subject everyone has a different opinon on! You'll heard of entire families supporting you, nobody supporting you, boyfriends that break up with you. etc. You'll find people,that are barely,18 and then you find out about,me, 72,years old, refusing to die obese and planning my surgery in less than a month , on September 5th. You will hear from people in the US, Canada , the Caribbean, the UK,Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and indeed world-wide. You will meet people who have many family members who have,had surgery, others, like me , who no one in their family,who has.You will find people who are at peace with their decisions, others still scared to death. And you will absorb all this information, take what you can from each poster and make a plan for yourself. And it will all be good.
