    thanks for all of the responces. i want to try the formula 40-30-30 but, not sure what the doctor will say. i know at the seminar dr. said read the first 135 pages then reread. how did everyone do on the south beach diet or did you also try some thing else. how much did every one loss on it?
  2. hey laugh alittle where you been have not heard or seen you post in a while. how have you been? i did get dr hoffman thank you for telling me about him also. after reading yours and everyone elses post i know he was the one for me. i spoke with im for a moment at the seminar. seems very nice.
  3. good morning lapband family, ok updates called the clinic monday left a message for brenda ricks and stressed there after. this morning got a call from melissa with an appointment for september 10th at 9am. i feel totally relieved. feel like some things going on now. go for the phyco test on the 9-02-08 with dr. l. i see alot of u have gone to see him so what can i expect?. also here is another big question i know everyone did the south beach diet but, does it have to be that one. i would prefer to do the formula 40-30-30. and when i go see the np what can i expect there?. does anyone attend weight watchers? was thinking about joining there. went to the gym last night an im sore as hell this morning. well i have talked to much so talk with everyone later.

  5. hi bandofgold, i have not been called to come in yet, just went to the seminar and the 21st. so if i dont hear from them by friday at least then i will call them as im ready to get it over with. question where do you live? if you live here in buffalo maybe we can meet some other time and have a protien shake or some thing at the hospital.

    hi newbie here

    he everyone my name is china, I'm a newbie here have been lerking around here for a while just thought that i would come in and say. well i went the seminar last night and it was alright. have talked it over with my mom and have decided to get the lapband. all test are done except for the phyco. one go on the 9-02-08 and them im done. i have a long time or wait ahead of me but, im ok. for some reason i woke up excited. my old man is not supportive of this im not happy about it but, im not doing it for him. he seems to think eating lettuce and water is all that i need. any ways i have alot to lose but feel that i can and will do it. have about 200-235 to lose.

    hi gg2007 thanks for responding. i know it can be done and it will be done again. just happy to be getting the ball rolling. i feel like im finally moving toward the pot of gold and for once it fells damn good. i know it wont be easy but, at least im hadleing it. tell me are you scared? trying to work on changeing things now so its not that hard for me when the time comes. went to go and buy the south beach diet book but, the store wasn't open yet. then i ordered the lapband companion today. and i plan on starting back walking around delaware park again. maybe we can keep in touch. good luck with the surgery.
  9. hey everyone went the seminar and it was cool. learned alittle. my mom went with me. asked my guy but, he really is not that supportive. he thinks just eat lettuce and excerise and that's that. hell with him. any ways gonna go and get the south beach diet book and start there. talk to every one soon

    good luck traysaq that is a great attitude to have. me i have not been banded either. and i to have alot of weight to lose. but, i feel that i can do. yes i do feel scared but, if i dont do it im scared i will die and the thought of not being around for my kids scares me more. keep me posted on how every thing is going. tell me some thing are you reading any books? i think i want to buy this book called the lapband companion.
  12. hi every body back from my mini trip had a nice time. so how is every one feeling.? when i got back i had a letter waiting from me from the clinic inviting me to the seminar. was very happy about that. also made an appointment with dr.L go there on the seconde of next month. question for all of you that have already done the surgery did you get any books. i have been looking into purchasing 2. "the lapband companion, and some cook book. just was wondering if any one had any suggestions. also who will be attending the seminar this month.?

  16. judy i hear alot of people say they still eat to fast. i have been trying to do the chewing thing at least 20x's but i cant only make it to 10 before i swollow. keep at it and you will be alright.
  17. hi linda hope to see you there will post what i will be wearing the night before so we can meet. and went back and found dr. letilo's # will call monday to schedual an appointment. trying to get every thing done before i see the dr so all i have to do is focuse on the weight loss.

  20. hi was wondering if anyone had heard any thing about the next seminar. i have been calling but have not been able to get through or even a call back. just was wondering if any one had gotten a date for the next one. i think im just gonna ride down there and ask them.

  22. thank you lindatatu for the information i plan to go to the next one maybe you can attend to so we can chat. i haven't been banded yet, either. im going to go out and purchase to lap band books one called the lap band companion and the other call life after lap band i think. i'm the same way. guess you can never know to much. tell me has any one been invited to the next seminar. or does any one know when it is?. and for ms. judy still waiting on your call hope every one has a great weekend.

  24. hi judy and friends, i live in kenmore and i currently walk at delaware park. and your right excersise is important. i'm joining the ymca on monday. they have a pool there and alot of excersise programs that interest me and most important it is close to my home. i have been trying to take small steps right now. i have stop eating after 12, and drinking pop, started walking at least 2x's a week. and trying to cut down on what im eating and how much. some days its great others its not. but, im gonna keep trying. so far i have lost 8lbs from the middle of may till now. think i would walk more if i had some one to walk with. also can anyone tell me about the support meetings i keep reading about?
