Sleeved 11/21 too much fluid intake?

My program wanted 64 oz plus ASAP. It sounds like you’re doing great!

    October 2018 Sleevers

@Yvonne47 I had a yeast infection about a week post op. Went away after 2 diflucan then I had to take steroids for an elbow injury which caused it to come back. Again took 2 diflucan and I’ve been fine ever since. I think it was the stress of surgery that caused it initially. I’ve been fine since then (about 2 months). Hoping yours resolves soon.

What do you eat in the airport?

Most bigger airports have some sort of gourmet markets now. In Detroit, it’s Plum Market in the Delta terminal.

What do you eat in the airport?

Yeah I get that. I travel a lot for work so I belong to the Delta Sky Club. They usually have hard boiled eggs...
  5. I did the home test that I connected myself. Apparently one or more leads were loose so they couldn’t use the results. Had to have an in-lab test next as a result.

What do you eat in the airport?

Yogurt, string cheese, hard boiled eggs, nuts, Rx bars are the things I’ve found in airports that I’ve been able to eat. Hope that helps!
  7. Started getting in 70+ grams Post op day 2. Mostly shakes, some Greek yogurt too.
  8. This is way too soon to be going out to eat. I didn’t go out to eat till I could at least eat soft foods. Too much too soon, I think. It gets easier!

It’s pretty hard to eat much salad at 3 months. I’m at the same stage but was cleared for veggies and fruit at 6 weeks. When I’ve ordered salad out, I get the smallest salad possible with some quality protein on it and focus on eating the protein. Salad dressing is very high calorie so be careful how much you use, if any.
  11. I was still pretty swollen at 2 weeks too. By 3-4 weeks, I started to see a difference in my upper abdomen. It was shrinking. Lower abdomen is slower for me. Sleeved 8/20. 53 lbs down, 62 to go.

    Yogurt

    110 cal/container. 15 g protein.
  13. 18 lbs first month. I lost nothing the week after surgery because I gained so much weight (fluid) in the hospital.

    Yogurt

Siggi’s 0%. Icelandic style yogurt. High protein like Greek, not very sweet. I love it.

    Liquid diet struggle

Contact your nutritionist. Every pre-op diet is different. I was not allowed to eat chicken. Maybe yours is different.
  16. I am 2 1/2 months post sleeve and I feel hungry every 3-4 hours so I eat very small meals on that schedule. It’s working for me. I’ve lost 40 lbs since surgery.
  17. Hi I was sleeved 8/20. I lost 10 lbs pre-op and 40 post-op. Religiously getting in protein and fluids. Not as religious about exercise (3-4 times/week max). I am happy with my progress. Everyone is different. Hang in there and it will be worth it!
  18. Ricotta bake and lentil soup were 2 of my favorites
  19. I’m almost halfway to goal and I’m finding Kohl’s is good for the sizes on the way down. Not pricey. Good selection. No longer need to go to the Plus department—yeah!!

Is one week off work enough?

I took 2 1/2 weeks off and for the first week back was pretty tired. If I could do it over, I would take 3 weeks. One week doesn’t seem adequate unless you do nothing but work and sleep.

    September bypass buddies??

@MMME have you tried soup? It’s been one of my go-to foods. Easier to get down than solids.

    October 2018 Sleevers

Unjury chocolate splendor mixed with Fairlife milk is the only protein shake I can drink post surgery (8/20 sleeve). Had to throw all the others away!

I started taking pills in the hospital too. No issues.
  24. I had antibiotics in the OR. I would call your surgeon’s nurse and discuss your concerns.
  25. Cell phone and charger was all I needed. Wouldn’t plan to bring any clothes that touch your waist. Those were pretty uncomfortable for about 2 weeks. I went home the next day and showered at home so didn’t need any toiletries. Hospital had toothbrush/paste.
