Hi, I am having the lap-band procedure next week on the 15th - yeah. But I have a couple of questions. 1st - I will be an out-patient in Phoenix (live in Tucson 110 miles) we are planning on spending the night in Phoenix just so I can rest. But - how long does the average person stay in the hospital/out patient area? 2nd - Any suggestions to make the drive comfortable on Thursday? 3rd - What should I bring with me ? 4th - What to wear - do I go bra-less ? 5th - I ride my own motorcycle - any idea how long before I can ride? Hi Janet, Wow - that is great - we are both on the same date. I am 5'6" - we have close to the same weight loss. Are you an out-patient or spending the night? Good luck and let me know how you are doing. Diane

Hi Everyone, I want to say thank you to everyone - with here & smartbandsters - you have all so helped me with my decision to go forward. I have my date - 2-15-06 !! It will be with Dr. Simpson in Phoenix. I am a self pay. So - hope all goes well. The procedure is done as an outpatient - with the opportunity to stay overnight if needed. We live in Tucson - about 100 miles away - so we will be spending the night in Phoenix, even if I do not stay at the hospital. So - what should I expect that day & the next few days??
