  1. I have not had a drop to drink since pre-surgery, however with the holidays approaching, I might want a small drink here or there, socially. I plan on avoiding anything carbonated (no beer or coolers). I know I need to keep sugars down, too. Any recommendations?
  2. I never thought of it that way...I am also not having very frequent bowel movements too... so I thought that might the cause. I have to be careful when I take Senokot though...I can't be caught out & about without washroom access, especially when I go back to work in Sept (teacher!)
  3. I just have a standard scale for weight
  4. I have lost a few pounds so am seeing movement again... wish I was having regular BM's though... I hate taking Senokot
  5. I start soft foods this Friday, so we shall see what happens next!
  6. Thanks all... I have noticed a loss in inches... I have been able to get in a pair of pants I was unable to wear for a year so that is a big deal! I guess I jusat expected (especially while still in the "liquid" phase) that weight would drop much faster.
  7. I had my surgery July 25... I have lost 26 pounds (that includes pre surgery Optifast weight loss)... but the scale has not moved at all in a few days & I am still on the clear fluids diet... I am a little surprised. I thought this would be the period where the weight would drop fastest?
  8. thanks everyone... this has def been a learning curve... today was the first day with minimal pain and I finally had a BM ( sorry if that's TMI)
  9. Thanks everyone...I have my post-op appt in 2 days so am going to run these options by them. I am also going to ask about Vitamin D... I haven't taken any yet bc I am afraid the taste will make me gag/vomit.
  10. I just saw the PatchMD multi-vitamin patch & the Calcium chewies... any recommendations?
  11. I am 4 days post-op & really struggling with the flavour/texture of the chewable vitamins (Centrum multi & Life brand Calcium Citrate)... I pretty much start gagging the minute I put it into my mouth. My #1 greatest fear is throwing up. Any recommendations or ideas?
