  1. Hi! I was "banded" as an outpatient on April 17th in Greeley, Colorado. I am a patient at North Colorado Medical Center. It's a "Center of Excellence" facility. Dr. Michael Johnell put in a Realize band. He used the DaVinci robot to assist him and I have five small incisions on my abdominal wall. While he was inside, he discovered a small hernia which he also repaired. I guess that's common, too. I chose this program because of the extensive pre and post op care. I know that the reason I am overweight has little to do with eating and so much more to do with emotions. I'm on day 3 of my liquid diet. I'm not sure what all the feelings are that I am having, I can't tell if I have gas, or if I'm full, or if this is just temporary until I am healed. It's a whole new world. Looking forward to using the forums and meeting some of you.
