    I found decaf peach tea in the herbal section of tea area . Also I went online and order pouches of chicken soup and strawberry sorbet protein drink from ujury, using for travel and each has 20g of protein . Just keep trying different things till u find something u like . I cannot eat enough to get my protein in so I am committed to using drinks and soups until that improves

    Sounds like u are doing ok . If u get 60g of protein in and 600 calories and close to 64 oz of liquids and are losing steadily u r good !

  5. I had the sleeve 12/20, am down almost 30lbs. Best thing I ever did - I like the fact that my basic digestion hasn’t changed - my appetite is gone and I i am sticking to the program . I also am adamant I will never have the sugar and carbs and even alcohol the way I used to - you have to commit to a new lifestyle . Focus on intake and expenditure - ensure u get sufficient exercise . I have heard multiple bad stories about the band and many people get it taken out and replace it with the sleeve. Good luck !

    Hello from a newly sleeved newbie!

    Supposed to be on purées 2 weeks - finally got a poached egg down today and did some cauliflower mashed potatoes and fish tonight .. getting there !💃

    Laying in hospital now

    Every day gets better ! I was sleeved December 20 and walked 3 miles on Xmas day ! Felt normal within a week. Am down 27 lbs in 3 weeks ! Just keep sipping the water and walking

    Gallbladder sludge-Surgery???

    I just had the sleeve and have been prescribed gallstone medication or 3 months to prevent the onset of stones . The dr said that quick extreme weight loss can cause gallstones

    Steve that is definitely GERD . I had a hiatal Hernia fix but still take lansaprozole. Start on it over the counter , it will help tremendously . I have only had one really bad experience with foam and salivia and incredibly painful chest pain but it sure scared me . I keep to 2 oz a serving . Full stop . That is why the sleeve is there .if I want more 30min later I go for it , but generally I don’t . And then I wake up the next day lighter !💪😀

    I too use spinning and working out to improve mood and reduce anxiety . If that’s not accessible I go for a long walk !

    I also started at 231 with a BMI of 34 and am down to 214 in just under 3 weeks . I think the weight loss is quick if u ramp up activity and follow the 600-800 calories and 60-80g of protein plan

    Wow johnathan , that sounds great ! I will try it because I am failing miserably in the purée stage . Chicken salad didn’t work. Crab salad tasted gross . Turkey Chili didn’t work . I am living off my protein drinks and plain yogurt right now . Am going to try a scrambled egg tomorrow . I can get down a wedge of laughing cow light cheese so that helps in a pinch

  18. I am nearly 3 weeks out and still drinking plenty of protein shakes 2-2.5 a day to make sure I get in 70g of protein in. They give me half my liquid and I use powerade zero and other drinks to get in another 30+oz.. protein from food is tougher to get in .. no real hunger and it’s wonderful to not have to focus on feeding time ..
  19. I am almost 3 weeks out and also feel pretty good, but starting to try and eat “soft” foods and mixed chicken is a whole different ball it wax! Am reverting back to liquids and super soft foods ...
  20. I only had a week driving restriction - I cleaned closets and did some organizing I needed to do for a while . I did a lot of walking and planning for menus , etc . I got very bored and went back to work for a few hours a day - started spinning again 2 eeeks after surgery cuz I was walking 5 miles a day before . I feel great and have started doing some lite weights . I feel very good and back to normal

    Steve just started 10 lb weights today and it felt fine , plus started doing planks again . Feeling completely normal . Am getting back in the horses again this weekend, enough is enough !😁

    It definitely seems to be 2 steps forward and one step back . Doc says only weigh once a week but guess I like torturing myself ! Seems like I lose a pound or pound and a half, do nothing different and then it comes back on and then it drops again. . So weird , but general trend is downward which is better than the alternative Down 23 and 47 more to go in 2019!

    I buy the pure protein pre made drinks at at Trader Joe’s . 35g of protein protein for only 160 calories and almost no carbs and 1 g of sugar . I do one drink in the am mixed with my decaf hazelnut coffee and it just like a latte ! I heat up drink for 50 seconds , then add fresh brewed coffee . I do the second drink in the afternoon or after workout . I also bought the pure protein powder mix in chocolate and blend a scoop with unsweetened chocolate almond milk(almond breeze ). Add half of a frozen banana (slice up then freeze in baggies) and a little bit of that peanut butter protein powder- delicious ! Like a chocolate peanut butter milkshake ! That takes care of 70 G protein, plus I also have some Isopure tropical punch powder that I sometimes use for another 20g of a light fruity drink. Makes a huge difference getting all this protein

    Wow Steve u r doing great ! I can easily drink water as well and am doing purée and soft but still being careful . I can get a small container of plain yogurt down at one sitting but it takes a while . I have heard the sleeve doesn’t really kick with a lot of restriction till solid food so I wouldn’t worry , that said I would keep calories below 800 and Ike u r doing , carbs below 50. I am headed to my 3 rd spin class this week and feel great as well ! Just dont want to end up with a hernia, so waiting on weights . My spinning broke my 3 day stall , but I agree , I think as long as we track the carbs and sugar , try to stay in Kerosis we can lose 1 lbs day or so. I have lost 15 since my 12/20 surgery and. 22 since the start of my preop diet . Feeling strong I agree , best thing I ever did !

    I am sitting down when I spin mostly and not to strenuous , they have said a stationary bike is ok so I fee like it’s the same . Doc said I am cleared for everything after 4 weeks .. 10 days to go .. but I worked out a fair bit before surgery ..
