It's impossible to get comfortable and then I get hot and cold to the point of my teeth chattering... 🤦🏻‍♀️

Try sugar free popsicles...they seem to help me.

Put a heating pad on it intermittently and/or warm compress. It is likely nerve endings and muscles - they pulled around in there and stitched stuff up and you are straining that before it has HEALED. You are not healed, so quit trying to do too much all at once - ask for help. Rest and allow your body to heal.

The low back pain could be because of weak abdominals and your back compensating to support you. This happened to me and went away rather quickly. Just gotta keep moving.

I had back pain for a few months I’m going to say.. although I still do.., I have a lower back disc and kidney stones from prior to surgery.... but the pain was awful for like 6-8 weeks... hang in there and take Tylenol

I am 7 days out Post Op and have pinching, stabbing lower left abdominal pain. It comes and goes and it isn't anywhere near the surgical site. Doc did a CT scan today and didn't see any signs of an abscess. Anyone else have experience with this?

I’m 4 day’s post op, yesterday when at the office having my drain removed the nurse made a note to tell me I may have sharp pains in my left side if I haven’t already. It’s due to the surgeon having tied down part of the stitches in the RNY. I can’t remember the exact wording.

I'm 16 Days Post-Op and my left side pain is really bad too. It's hard to bend down and get out of bed. I wonder if I over did it one day and pulled something? I'm sitting in my office chair with a heating pad on. I've read that it can take 4-5 weeks. We may just be a little slower to heal.

Today marks Day 3 Post-op for my Sleeve surgery that was on Tuesday, July 17, 2018! I'm recovering pretty well and getting a lot of walking in. Oh and also passing a lot of gas! The nurse said my incisions look good. I haven't experienced the "diarrhea" yet and hopefully I don't. My heating pad is working wonders for me.

They gave me broth, popsicles, & a Protein Shake while I was still in the hospital. The first week I was running to the restroom also, but it has slowed down now. I'm 2 weeks Post-Op.

Thanks! It's a challenge for sure! Walking 30 min like a turtle then I have to sleep for a few hours!

Everyone's different. Do what you can. 30 minutes a day is great.

I'm sure some veteran members will have better advice for you, but 30 minutes a day walking is GREAT!

Had mine on the 3rd, the first week was rough. I was back @ the hospital Monday because the doctor thought I had developed an abscess - thankfully the CT was clear. I seem to be on the mend, but still not overly optimistic. First week out I was depressed and felt like I made the biggest mistake of my life and instead of being on the road to better health I was in a nightmare. Tired of people saying this is the "easy" way...c'mon, this hasn't been easy @ all.

I'm 10 days post-op and I still have that pain. The doctor told me that since this was my second surgery that he had to remove some scar tissue so the pain that I feel normally lasts 5-10 days getting duller by day 4/5 but I will feel it for a few more days until my muscles inside heal.

I had the same pain of my left side. The doctor said it was muscular..it went away around day 9 postop. The pain is really dull now...slightly sore, no more sharp jabbing pain. Walking helped...I think it may be a combination of gas and muscles being pulled during the procedure. Sometimes I would bend to the right or arch my back and it would subside.
