  1. Ok so its been 3 months and 2 weeks since my surgery :redface: I have to say I have not lost alot of weight since the surgery either.. But no worries I know it will go.. So before the surgery I lost about 10 pounds on the pre op and since the surgery I have lost about 19 pounds so around 30 pounds all together which really with my BMI is pretty good :thumbup: an average of 10 pounds per month :thumbup: Ok so after my surgery I lost I think 10 pounds on the post op liquid diet then I did not loose anything for 1 whole month of doing all I was supposed to do. So I have to say I have slacked.. I am eating much less but eating anythning I want really. No diet. I guess its the stress of my life right now. But I think I could be loosing more weight it I would watch wat I eat. Although I do not agree with this carb free sugar free mess. I do think we all never to cut back on sweets and anything high calorie but to say no carbs and no sugar is setting you up to fail and i dont believe this is healthy. Anyways right now I have 5cc in my 10cc band and I feel i need another fill.. I got into an argument with the checkout person at the office so now I am looking for a new fill doctor :thumbup: she was rude!! Well I just wanted to post a little update.. although its hard and sometimes i get discouraged I always try to remind myself this weight will be gone sooner than later so dont stress if its taking a while!! :thumbup:
  2. OK Its monday day 5 :smile: Last night I am happy to say I had my first full nights sleep :sad: I also woke up flat on my back and I was comfy this morning not feeling any pain or gas. I have been sleeping sitting straigt up. I dream everynight of food. Last night it was donuts lol.. I believe its been 16 or 17 days now that I have not eaten anything. Who could have guessed I could go that long without food!! Not me I didnt know its possible. I have to say that I owe my good sleep to someone on this website who said Gas X strips were not working for her so she bought walgreens brand malox. I sent my husband for some took it before bed and had a good night sleep and I dont feel bloated right now :tongue2: Thanks for that

    OK so I went to see my dr today and I learned a few things. First thing was that my band was put on with 2cc in it. Next was that my cuts are doing good now :redface: Woo I have lost 20 pounds so far yea!!! Very happy about that so next apt 28th of Aug and maybe I can have a fill woooo:)
  4. OK I am 8 days out and Im feeling pretty good. This morning I got up and the scale did not move. That is very odd since I consume maximum 300 cal a day and before the surgery I lost a steady 1 pound a day and I was consuming a lot more liquids than I am now. So I decided to go ahead and try to do my exercise machine. So far I did 15 mins on it and yes my port was hurting but I stopped and will try again later :frown: I want to do this 100 % and I want the weight gone I am starving all the time sooo hungry since the surgery. I am dreaming of next wednesday when I can start my mushie diet yum I go to the dr on the 31st for my checkup so I hope all is well

    ok so I am banded. 3rd day now :smile2: So this is wat i am feeling. The big cut for the port in the bottom hurts like heck when i sit or lay and when i go to get up. Then when I cough it hurts so band and stings for a lil bit like it will rip open. They gave me mepergan fortis for pain because it has an anti nausia in it but i really dont think it helps much besides making me sleep. So next thing I am more hungry now then before the band and I was on 2 weeks liquid before the band lol Yes I know the band is empty. Lets see besides that..well thats the main things.
  8. Well to day is a happy day.. today is monday I will be banded on wednesday.. I have worked so hard to this point just to be approved the emotional stress was more sometimes then I thought I could bare but I did and I made it... I made it through the liquid diet and the apointments the 1 1/2 hour drive sometimes 3 times a month the putting my life on hold for the past 6 months. I am ready now to have a healthy life. Ready for it to change :biggrin: Now I will get back to the post about my liquid diet. As I posted yesterday I ate something so I was not suprised when I woke up this morning and had not lost a pound but I still average a pound a day because the first day I lost 2 pounds so I am still down 9 pounds.. but today I will only do clear liquids I was supposed to start tomorrow but since I cheated by a very little bit yesterday today I will punish myself I had a 10 cal jello cup this morning sugar free and I will try some chicken broth later. I also got an excersize machine and did 15 mins this morning wooohooo lapband here i come

    OK 9 pounds gone!!! Thats a very nice thing to see!!! So it hasnt been that bad I am making it. I did post a question yesterday about my stomach I dont know what the deal is really but I do feel better today. :biggrin: So its sunday my surgery is on wenesday so on tue wen thur and fri I will be on clear liquids only... So this is what I did (something bad) I ate something today :mellow:yes I did. I decided to eat one thing since I will not see food again for 5 weeks and so far I dont feel sick. I am sooo excited about my surgery in a few days!!!

    Sooooo I lost 8 pounds now.. still starving lol... I did find relief with atkins slim fast type drink it actualy helped my hungery :biggrin: What I think is so odd though is that I loose exactly 1 pound a day to the T its so weird. Well the first day I lost 2 pounds. So during the day I am fine but at night is when I just want to eat its soooo hard in the evenings. What I dont understand is I read all these things about people not doing the pre liquid diet and ppl going for one last meal before the surgery.. So how can you do this .. will it mess up the surgery? I am soo scared I just only have water protein water and the atkins protein drink. Oh and one more thing its been a life saver.. shwans chocolate popscicles 50 cals no added sugar so it has i think 2 sugars and 4 sorbital no fat. I love them!! Surgery on the 16th!!! its getting close happy happy happy:thumbup:

    I lost 5 pounds and im starving but I am stuck on my diet of nothing lol I went and had all my pre op stuff done.. very fun!! it was horrible glad its over :shades_smile: So hmm I think by the time the 6 weeks of liquids are done i will be at my goal weight hmm yummy food it would be nice but oh well i will just sit here and starve lol

    So today is my 2nd day on the liquid diet. I am doing pretty good. I am now thinking of food food food lol. I thought they were crazy at first when they said that I need 2 weeks on liquids BEFORE the surgery.. I mean really I thought if I can do that then why do i need the surgery? BUT I have to think of it like this.. In normal without the surgery you can go a while with no food and u may loose weight but u will just gain it back. So 2 weeks wont kill me :shades_smile: Anyways I bought sugar free pudding and jello, milk, protein water, protein shakes, slimfast optima and chicken broth.. but all i want is pizza lol. OK so we will see how I do until the 16th.. I am sooo excited!!!! woohooo Surgery in 9 days!!!
