  1. Kevin, Your pic is great! Sounds like you are doing so well. Keep us posted.
  2. Apple203, your dogs are so darn cute! And looks like you are doing great with your weight loss! Good luck.
  3. Hi Cosbourne, From what I've researched so far, 15 lbs nice June 19 isn't too bad, especially if you aren't getting the protein needed. Protein, water/liquids, and carbs in the right balance is the key - again, from my research. I hope you are keeping in close contact with your doc so you don't get dehydrated! I've also seen patients say they can't drink the shakes. One person I follow on you tube, mimmiemeinTN, drinks her shake in the am with a cup of cold brew coffee, and a couple of pumps of sugar free flavorings. But there are so many alternatives to shakes to get protein, like Nectar, Unjury soup, and my personal favorite Protein2o drinks. I'm also thinking you don't have energy because you may not be getting enough carbs? Anyway, I hope you feel better really soon. Keep us posted, ok?
  4. Frustr8, you are a spring chicken! Age gets real blurry the older we get. Tomorrow is a holiday, and hopefully we will all have a surgery date soon.
  5. Wonderful! When is your surgery date? Are you excited?
  6. I'm SO excited to have found this forum! Looking to find someone (or multiple someones!) To follow along with me, who are also close to their surgery date. I'm 60, but in denial.... lol. I call myself a perpetual 5 year old (ok, not literally). But it would be nice to check in with 50-somethings, though 8t certainly isn't mandatory. Pretty close to getting my insurance approval - supposed to hear this week. In the meantime, my surgeon's office won't hook me up with their private Facebook forum until I have a surgery date. This process so far has been arduous, especially working with the surgeon's office. They are one of two Center of Excellence offices in my area, so they must be very busy. But I don't feel the warm and fuzzies that I have read others feel about their surgeon. I hope that changes. Looking forward to getting to know this community!
