Gastric Sleeve Surgery is it painful?

It depends on who you are and your pain tolerance level. I hurt for about a month took lots of pain meds prescribed by the doc and a lot of antacids. I did not feel like myself till about six months later. It just all depends every person's experience is different. But it was well worth it!!!!!
  4. You should be ok just make sure you have enough pain meds in case you start to feel bad. Make sure and keep a lot of antacids in case you start to get heartburn.

    Struggling 4 Days Out

The first few weeks are the worst. I remember laying in the hospital bed in pain. It does get better. I am two years out and there are still foods that I miss eating. I would love to eat a piece of fried chicken or a hamburger with tater tots. After the surgery, my body does not like those types of foods anymore. It has been a hard journey but I am much healthier and happier than I have ever been in my whole life. I am able to walk without pain in my knees and I can move around a lot better now.
  6. It is really really really hard the first few months are the worst. I remember my first few months were the worst I would lay there thinking why did I do this to myself???? It was awful at first but it does get better EVERYONE goes through that just try and push through.

    Hair loss

I had surgery a year ago and I'm still losing my hair. I cut my hair short and use biotin and collagen shampoo. I makes my hair look a little fuller
  8. Everyone goes through this it is very normal. Just try to stay positive it gets better. A lot of it is fighting through and getting over the hump. It is hard your body has gone through a huge adjustment. 😊

Has anyone kept their surgery a secret?

The only one that knows is my husband. I did not tell anyone else. I needed to deal with my own emotions and not with everyone's emotions. Their opinions, what they think, etc......
