  1. I agree with the other two comments. You should definitely call your doctor if it happens again. Now, please share with us your stats!! What a difference in both pics How much weight have you lost?

    Surgery cost

Unfortunately you cannot base what your cost is going to be based on info from others who have BCBS. I work in medical billing. There are many different plans and there are a lot of things that come into play. You are better off contacting your insurance directly and have all info available such as the hospital where you will be having surgery, the surgeon etc. It depends on whether your are using doctors and facilities that are in network or not. A lot of factors...
  3. Congrats to you! Best Wishes I also want to say thank you for bringing the prayer requests back into the "light" which is what this thread is supposed to be about!
  4. No, telling us that we’re going to be judged for our bad wrongness because we have different beliefs should not be happening on this forum. As an agnostic I fully agree with side eye’s eloquent and patient explanations of why statements like that are exclusionary and unkind to those who do not share the same faith. GET OFF THIS THREAD THEN! THE ONLY REASON YOU TWO ARE ON HERE IS TO PURPOSELY CAUSE A RUCKUS...GO TO A THREAD THAT PERTAINS TO YOU! GEEZ...I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS OUT OF SO CALLED ADULTS...
  5. Just STOP antagonizing and trying to cause disruption...THAT IS ALL YOU ARE DOING AND THERE IS NO GOOD REASON FOR IT! Seriously...
  6. apositivelife4me No one here believes they HAVE to go through The Preacher in order to pray to God. He is NOT preaching all over THIS WEBSITE either. THIS thread was created specifically for those who do share the same belief in God. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE HERE SO WHY ARE YOU? I believe you are just looking for a reason to whine and create chaos. Take your anger and hate issues somewhere else. Get some help...
  7. I haven't had the surgery YET but when I had a C-section a number of years back they had me rock in a rocking chair that was next to my bed to help with the gas and IT WORKED!
  8. Now this is what I consider a POSITIVE, ENCOURAGING, SUPPORTIVE post!...what I would expect to find on here in the first place and for the most part is...like others said, if a post does not pertain to you or if what is said is not something you believe in...just ignore or skip ahead! Someone else might really need to hear those words at that moment

    Surgery is today!!

And by the way, you might want to rethink your profile name because you certainly are NOT positive...and I'm being polite here.

    Surgery is today!!

Wow, you sound like you have anger issues. I find your rudeness offensive. Now that we have that out of the way...I'm pretty sure you could've expressed yourself in a more respectful manner. No need to be obnoxious just because YOU don't want to hear something.

    3 Months Out

Oops I meant to tag @jultrim18 then! Got the names mixed up how are you doing on your pre-op? No problem! I'm doing good...I had my initial consult with the surgeon mid June. Just had my psych appt and EGD. Biopsy results of stomach were negative! Had blood work to check my blood clotting status, vitamin and iron levels etc. Been to the required weight loss seminar and one support group. I have my third monthly nutritionist appt next week and 3 more after that!

    3 Months Out

    Congrats! Very inspiring
  16. I will be discussing this with the nutritionist this week but I would like to see what everyone here has to say. In my paperwork I was given on my original visit I read that regarding protein powders/shakes they recommend protein "isolate" being the first ingredient. Then they gave a list of brands they recommend with Premier Protein being one of them. However when I look up the nutritional info it says "milk protein concentrate" not "isolate"...from what I've read online, isolate has the highest % of protein over concentrate. What have you all been told???

    Cycle and Ibuprofen

Hello ya'll! I'm new here...this is my first post/reply although I've been reading a lot of posts for the past month... As a former gynecology nurse, I will tell you that Tylenol is NOT an anti-prostaglandin whereas ibuprofen IS. The cramps we experience during our cycle are due to the hormone prostaglandin which causes the uterus to contract. Ibuprofen (Motrin, Advil, Aleve) and Midol etc. are anti-prostaglandins as well as anti-inflammatories/pain relievers and that's why they are recommended over Tylenol/acetaminophen. Having said that, of course the wise thing to do is to check with your clinical team
