  1. Im planning to have my niece come stay the week with me to help around the house and take care of my dog. Just in case, I'm not feeling well.
  2. Gorgeous! Thanks for sharing and thinking of us ?. Enjoy your trip and safe travels!
  3. Any recommendations on what brand / type to get?
  4. Wow! Good job on plowing through.
  5. July 12th! Right around the corner.
  6. I had a total sense of relief and felt as though I could finally relax once I got my surgery date. But that lasts about five minutes and then you start the countdown LOL
  7. I had brown rice this weekend with my roasted chicken. I'm on the low carb-low fat liver shrinking diet. I had convinced myself that white rice was the enemy. My dietician corrected me on Monday. :/ I should have known that it was too "filling" to truly be allowed. LOL Oh, and a spoonful of Peanut Butter has also pulled me back from the edge of a full meltdown on about day two of the diet. But my weight loss has remained steady. My cravings have also subsided. This weekend I was about 3-4 days into the diet... which is the worst part. I'm not craving now and I feel much better and so much more alert and 'awake', now. Also, finally getting use to the sweet after taste of these dang protein shakes. SMH... the worst.
  8. Congrats on your date. My dietician advises against starting the pre-op diet too early as many people have a hard time sticking to a prolonged regimen. You don’t want to falter during the actual 2 week requirement. But good luck! Git r’ done!
  9. For those of you who have crossed over to post-op,... how much weight have folks lost during their pre-op diet? I know it’s not the point of the diet but just wondering what results folks had. I’ve lost 9 lbs, four days into my two week liver shrinking diet.
  10. That sucks. Don’t stress over why you can’t control ...But don’t get discouraged to the point that you don’t prepare for this change. It will happen and you will do yourself a disservice to not have your head in the game. Good luck!
  11. Also on the 12th and doing a no fat/sugar/carb liver shrinking diet. Never noticed how much I randomly think of food throughout the day and it would normally cause me to go get whatever just popped in my head. The struggle is real but I’m determined to conquer this.
  12. AWESOME RESULTS! Congrats!!
  13. Hi, I’m in Delaware. Clayton, DE How far is that from you? About 2 hours
  14. Southern MD but having surgery in Annapolis.
  15. That sucks but at least your surgeon cares enough to follow through and be there for you. He could have passed your follow care onto someone else.
  16. That’s great. Don’t be nervous. It’s time for a change. Good luck!
  17. No. I have CareFirst BCBS.
  18. Thank you! The 24th will be here in no time!
  19. Just called BCBS. I'm approved and all set for the 12th!!! Yes, Lord!! Now I feel like it's official. All that's left to do is wait. (And shop for protein shakes, lol)
  20. LOL! I thought about calling today and talked myself out of it bc I wasn't sure if they'd tell me. I have BCBS Carefirst. I think I'll call tomorrow. My paperwork was submitted on the 13th and I still haven't heard anything. My doctor told me it would take two weeks.
