  1. Your stomach is a lot smaller and still healing. I was told 6 months as I also like to sometimes have wine with dinner! The wine will hit you quicker than you think so hope your not planning to drive! Most people who have had the sleeve think they can drink like before. Wrong, in fact people who attempt to, normally get their first DWI after have WLS and drinking. If I were you I’d check with your doctor and see what he/she thinks.

  2. Call your doctor last thing you need is a clot!! Please keep us posted, haven’t really had any problems since my sleeve on Monday, but did have to call my doctor and I guess I was confused. Thought I only needed to take the Omeprazole (prysolec) if I was having problems. Have to take it everyday to keep the gastric Fluid down in my sleeve so it will heal. Couldn’t figure out why I had the burning pain. Glad I called!

  3. Sorry you are going through this stress. Praying you have the strength to get back on track! Suggest you get up from the computer and take 10-15 minute breaks every hour! Walk the neighborhood if you can or if you have a treadmill get on the machine! The breaks may help breakdown the depression and help you look at things in a better light! Good luck, God Bless!

  4. My insurance doesn’t cover WLS, I have been thinking about it for a while and saw a couple of bariatric doctors until I found one I liked, total cost is $13,900 but I feel really good with my decision as when I went for my Pre-op test at the hospital, one of the nurses commented on my surgeon. She basically said that he was very good at making sure his patients were completely informed on the procedure, the risks and the benefits. She said she sees a lot of these surgeries from several different Bariatric surgeons a she likes my surgeon the best.
