I took it after surgery. Some kind of way still ended up with sludge. The pain you mention, sounds a lot like the pain that I was having, when I found out about my ulcer. It's best to make an appointment with either your surgeon that performed your RNY or to see a gastroenterologist as soon as possible. Don't ignore the pains

Today makes 6 weeks since my surgery and I officially go back to regular foods. It has definitely been a journey, learning my new stomach during this process. I have begun to eat food that I never liked before and certain foods that I used to love, I truly despise now. I have learned my stomach no longer likes chicken and i'm okay with that. Vegetables are my best friend so far. Some sugar free drinks actually taste too sweet and I have to Water them down. My weight is coming off at a steady and not too rapid pace, which I am glad of. I can tell the difference with the weight I have lost so far. I can now walk up a flight of stairs normally. I used to have to walk one step at a time. My blood pressure and sleep apnea are steadily improving and I have more energy now. I am happy that I went through with the surgery overall. RNYGB: 6/25/2018 HW: 297 SW: 246 CW: 220 GW: 165

I got sick with a bad cold last week and started having stomach spasms. At first I thought it was something I ate, disagreeing with my stomach. It kept happening though. There hasn't been much that takes the pain away, except for drinking some hot herbal tea. It's also caused me to vomit more than I would care to. A lot of times it's painful dry heaves though. I go to see the gastroenterologist on the 19th and i'm hoping they can figure things out. Has anyone else experienced this?

Thank you so much...I truly appreciate that!!! My appointment was very helpful. Turns out there is sludge in my gall bladder and they feel that is what caused the ulcer. So my gastroenterologist is sending me to a surgeon and has suggested that my gall bladder be removed.

Thank you. I am still in pain off and on and the medicines aren't helping much. Hopefully I will be able to get some answers and relief when I go to the gastroenterologist tomorrow

Mine hurt just below my rib cage on the left. I could tell it was around the connection point of my small intestine and my new pouch. It would hurt when I drank it ate. The only comfort I would get was to slowly sip hot chamomile tea. After not being able to hold down food or Water too many days in a row, due to the pain triggering me to vomit...I quickly went to the emergency room and was admitted within 2 hours of my arrival. Stayed in the hospital for 5 days.

Make an appointment to see a gastroenterologist. I went through the same thing and it turned out to be an ulcer...a large one

It was just one very large ulcer. No stricture. I had a CT scan, ultrasound and EGD that showed only one ulcer that was 2 inches in size. Had nothing to do with nsaids, because I stopped taking those close to 3 months before I ever had surgery.

Yes, i'm still in the hospital. Hopefully I will be able to go have tomorrow. Still been having some major pain issues. The vomiting has finally eased up thankfully tough. It's a slow road to recovery, but I intend to get there and never up give up on myself

They've been giving me some strong pain meds and some meds to put a coating over the ulcer to protect it. By the ulcer being so large, it's been causing some severe pain
