    I don't understand!!!

Yes I use bariatrictastic. I posted two days of meals on the thread. I haven't really lost anything so I guess my stall would be from the day I came home on the 10th of August to like the 1st week of September and then I lost for about a week and then I gained 3 lbs. So I am not sure what time frame you're looking for?

    I don't understand!!!

see that is what is confusing to me. The dietitian said my carbs and protein need to be equal. 70g protein 70g of carbs 70 oz of water. I am only doing exactly what they are telling me.

    I don't understand!!!

My intake is approximately 1500 calories for 2 days. Per my guidelines I should be eating 700-1000 calories a day, I burn about 200 per day exercising. My numbers do not fluctuate on the scale, I think that is why it is frustrating. It's not up and down. It didn't move at all for weeks and then it just went up. and has remained up for almost a week now. Technically I have only lost about 5 lbs in the 6 weeks I have been home.

I agree. Obviously if the scale isn't moving and then going up, it needs to be banned for awhile. The Dr wants me to weight in once a week, but it's just sending me spiraling in to depression so I don't think I can anymore.

    I don't understand!!!

The mashed potatoes were on the menu the dietitian gave me. He looked at my diary and said I wasn't eating enough carbs, everything needs to be 50/50. I exercise every day. i either walk, treadmill or elliptical. I am only doing a 1/2 hours but that's mostly because I work until 5 I get to the gym at 5:30 then workout until 6 and have to drive home and make dinner for everyone and then myself. If I stay any later I won't be eating until 8.

    I don't understand!!!

Well I'm 6 weeks post op so I don't think it's a healing thing, but I'm going to give it another two weeks and then I'm calling the dr.

    I don't understand!!!

Another pound gained at my weekly weigh in, guess I should only weigh in monthly! My nutritionist said I should not be gaining weight a month out and I have gained 4lbs, I'm at a loss, but whatever I'm doing what they said so F**k it! I have tried increasing my water, I know you've mentioned that before, I'm just having a hard time getting fluid in at work. I get 60 in and then another 20 when I get home, but I'm having a hard time getting more than that. I am sure I'm not being more calories than I eat though. I have a desk job so my only exercise is my nightly walk.

    Bad day

@MassMom I'm sorry you had a bad day. Tommorow indeed is a new day and I wish you a very good one!! I completely understand, I am just over a month out and having lost jack sh*t. Everyone said your healing, it wasn't that, then it's water weight. It wasn't that. Then I was told well your weight fluctuates, this is very true, but no in my case it was gain. 3 lbs in fact and its taken another week of extreme cardio just to loose 2 of the 3 lbs. I gained eating exactly whats on the menu the dietitian gave me. So finally I am back down to where I started, I wake up this morning and of course another 2 lbs gained. My gain wasn't anything other than gain, I don't know why or how, but it wasn't healing, or water, or constipation. Moral of the story is hide your scale because it will make you crazy and take it easy because beating yourself doesn't work either. Just take one day at a time, it's all we can do.

Well not to be TMI, but I don't have a cycle. I will try and watch the sodium though. I haven't had issues with constipation yet.

    I don't understand!!!

Not to be rude, but people with metal health issues can't always control their mood or always be positive. I am here because this is suppose to be a supportive community not one who that dictates how to feel or states I have unrealistic expectations in one sentence then that I don't know how to differentiate between temporary and actual weight gain. What I said was how I feel, the frustration and depression not a lack of understanding or intelligence I thought that is what these forums are for. I apologize, but I have really found your posts hurtful.

    I don't understand!!!

I drink premier protein 30G protein 1 sugar, but today the dietitian said I am only to use the protein shakes if I am not getting enough by food. I am not on the soft/pureed diet anymore. I am on regular foods. Protein bars aren't allowed yet. Prior to today I was having a protein shake in the morning. Usually 2 oz of chicken, Zucchini noodles, and string cheese for lunch. Dinner I had 2 oz ground turkey 1/4 mashed potatoes and 1/4 riced broccoli Breakfast was always a shake. Lunch the starkist chicken creations, 1/4 green beans, 1/4 cottage cheese. Dinner shredded chicken, black beans, salsa. Yes same here, first thing in the morning I put the scale away now, and I walk every day.

No, I have realistic expectations. I do not expect to lose a pound a day for a year, however I did expect to be successful. And if you re read my post I stated that for 3 weeks I didn't lose anything and was simply stating I finally felt successful when weight starting coming off. I am extremely frustrated that after 3 weeks of not losing any weight and such short time of actually losing that I have already gained. And since I do not have a weight tend I can't say it's been very successful.
  15. Yesterday was a month since my surgery, I was having a hard time because the numbers just weren't dropping and it was so frustrating, but now a month out I am happy to say I have lost 20 lbs 2" and 2 pant sizes. Just never give up.

    Gastric Bypass-No Weight Lost

A, but that's the thing FloweryNYC. I am eating less because I know I need to, not because I am not hungry. I only eat 3 oz because the Dr says so not because I couldn't eat more. I don't feel restriction at all. In fact if I didn't get a slight pain when I drink sometimes I wouldn't even know I ha d surgery.

I did consider I may be losing inches and not lbs, but I hadn't taken measurements since June, so I honestly don't know. In my head I have lol.

Not to get personal but are you on any kind of hormones? In the beginning I had a hard time losing weight and I had the nexplanon birth control implant. Once I got it removed I started losing again. I guess my body didn’t like hormones. But also consider what everyone else is saying about the fluids and healing. It will start coming off. Keep fighting the good fight. Best wishes I've had the Mirena IUD for 11 years, but removing is definitely not an option. I am going to increase my water from 70 to as much as possible. Ash said not to stress it's normal so I am going to relax and see what happens.

Sounds possible. My body thinks it is starving so it goes in to desert survival mode.

I have only been cleared for walking, but I walk at least 30 minutes a day sometimes I walk in the morning and at night, it depends. Sometimes I am just too tired at night, but I walk 30 minutes every morning.

    What am i doing wrong

I am going through the same thing, had surgery on the 8th no weightloss since, it freaking sucks and it's frustrating. Matt Z has been super helpful. I am going to try upping my water too. It sounds like it just happens, but just know I completely get it. I think it'll pass, good luck to you and let me know when things get moving again.

Ok, I will most definitely try that. I was released from the hospital on soft foods so I have scrambled eggs, cottage cheese, canned chicken or tuna, yogurt, things like that and then my protein shakes. I use baritastic to track everything. Calories range from 500-700. Maybe my calorie intake is to high, but its pretty consistent with the paperwork the dietitian gave me.

    Gastric Bypass-No Weight Lost

They're going by my weight before the liquid diet and bowel prep and I did lose weight in the hospital. So to them I have lost 13 lbs, but I lost 8 lbs from the pre op appt to surgey date and 5 in the hospital, but none since I have been home. I am 100% certain the plumbing is functioning correctly, but I thought maybe the pouch size was the issue also! I feel restriction when I eat, but I don't think it's where its supposed to be. I don't know maybe I am crazy, but drinking, I am walking I would think I'd be losing.

I had my post op appointment and my scale matched theirs, it was accurate throughout the WL trial too, so it is definitely not the scale. I don't know why, maybe it just wasn't meant to be.
