Congratulations. A huge milestone for sure!

  2. Wondering if I should do a reset this early in the game. I gotta do something to get this **** in gear. I am busting my ass with cardio 7 days a week and that isn't helping. Maybe going back to stage 1 will.

  3. Yesterday was a month since my surgery, I was having a hard time because the numbers just weren't dropping and it was so frustrating, but now a month out I am happy to say I have lost 20 lbs 2" and 2 pant sizes. Just never give up.

  4. The whole time I kept having a nightmare I wouldn't lose weight after all this. How horrifying to have it come true. I had surgery on the 8th. I haven't lost anything since. i drink my water, my protein shakes, I walk, but nothing. How could this be happening. Am I just doomed to be overweight forever? I am beyond devastated. Maybe something changes in the next couple months, but I am no longer hopeful.

Calm down. You're still very swollen. Many doctors advise against weighing the first month because it can be very disheartening. Everyone heals at different rates. Just keep with your plan and you'll be ok. I promise, the scale will move soon - and BIG! It can take a full month for all the abdominal swelling to go down.

  5. !0 days to go. Seems surreal after waiting so long. I did a little grocery shopping for after surgery. I'll get more next weekend. I ended up losing 40 lbs on my preop diet. i feel ready. I hope next week flies by.

Hi Kasey! So here you are, after all the struggles and waiting, and it's YOUR TURN! I am happy and excited for you, and trust all will go as smoothly as mine. It does have a surreal quality to it -- you're in hospital gown, getting prepped, you know it's happening but keep double checking yourself -- Am I dreaming this? And they relax you into lalaland and you wake up sleeved! Wow. Just WOW. Yes, the remaining days will fly by. You did amazingly well on the pre-op. Woot!

Thank you. I thought July was never going to end and now, tomorrow is the day! I am so excited. So ready for this journey.

  6. Starting to stock up on all the items I will need for after surgery. Even picked up a couple items for my hospital bag, Biotin mouth spray, some gas x, chapstick. It's starting to feel more real, yet so far away. 26 days and counting.

I'm looking for items as well! I have surgery on August 6th, and the 7th is my birthday! I'm planning on starting to buy the canned soups for liquid stage, and start buying some protein for the liquid diet starting next week. Good luck with everything! :D
