T don’t be too hard on yourself, you’ve noted that your lost and looking for help. My suggestion would be speak to a therapist to find out why old negative behaviours are returning, I’ve had moments like this too. Also if your on Facebook there are lots of Bariatric support groups, also there is a reset diet which is basically resetting the pouch with two days of liquid like we did right at the beginning, look for this on Facebook for what to follow and as nutsesmiley80 said, speak to your nutritionist. You can get back on track! Exercise takes time as you need to work on building muscle, the scales don’t move but your body changes shape. More muscle mass burns fat more efficiently. It’s a journey not a quick fix. Stay strong and reach out to your team

Sorry to hear you are feeling like this too Nina. Yes I find that everything makes me feel sick and really put me off eating. I am pushing the fluids and they have just given me some new anti sickness tablets. I am second week of purred foods, but my nurse suggested some scrambled egg tonight for the first time as I like egg. Managed a few mouthfuls and I seem okay, just feeling bloated now after fluids this evening. She assured me that it will get better so I am holding on to that right now!

Same situation with milk. Almond is great in my shakes. My doc also mentioned a milk called Farelife. Not sure if thats even an option in the UK but maybe something similar maybe easier on your stomach. Good luck!

I become intolerant of whey Protein about 3 weeks post op. It started causing extreme nausea. Something to consider.

After my gastric bypass surgery, I became lactose intolerant. Whenever I drank milk, I experienced an upset stomach quickly followed by diarrhea. This condition lasted for around 2 months and then disappeared. Also beware some Protein Drinks contain lactose.

I was never a big milk drinker before my bypass. I am day 12 today post op and doing liquid diet. Drinking skimmed milk with Protein powered or just plain. Had no problems until yesterday when I got tummy pains and an upset tummy, tried again today, Soup no problem, yogurt no problem but just drank my milk and pain again
Is there an alternative that we are allowed that is still high in protein? Im in the UK so food items might be different.
Would love your views on this please

I live in Texas. LOL, in my family "wench" is a term of endearment. I'm the kitchen wench. It was supposed to be funny, sorry. I've been a wench as have my sissies for years. We actually love the term.
Also, just to be clear. DAMN straight I want to be thin. I also wanted to save my forkin life. At 287 I was on 3 blood pressure meds, 3 asthma drugs, GERD medicine, had Fluid around my heart, had a very low ejection fraction, had Stage II lymphedema in my arm from cancer. And was at serious risk for BC recurrence. My oncologist BEGGED me for 2 years to do this surgery. He felt it was maybe the only hope I had of surviving 10 years from the cancer without recurrence.
I was bed-bound, could barely shower, could barely walk from my recliner where I lived to the potty. I could not stand to cook cuz the pain and exhaustion was terrible. I got MSSA in my foot that took 3 months to heal and wasn't being helped cuz of the heart fluid and leg fluid and BP issues. I could not sleep longer than 1-2 hour stretches and I was in aching 8scale pain 24/7/365.

Am I sooo unbelievably thrilled I can now sleep 4-5 hours at a stretch without waking from crying in pain? Am I glad my neuralgia is partially better around my chest and down my left arm from the surgery? Am I glad to have my life back?

Am I happy to be off all asthma drugs and off all bp meds except a lower dose of 1? Am I happy my fluid around the heart is slowly improving, the ejection fraction has improved 5%, am I thrilled to be able to bathe, cook, clean my house and be a better partner? Fu*k yeah! Am I thrilled I can now shop for the first time in 8 years? That I can walk for 1 hour straight? That I can stand for longer than 10 minutes? Am I determined DETERMINED that I will be in the normal weight category just once in my life? FU*K yeah! And I would not (in the end) let anyone or anything keep me from having the chance to reclaim my life. I will also jump through fire to keep from ever going back to that place of living hell ad misery where I lay in my chair and prayed to die.

I was TRYING to be charitable about your motives dude. LOL.

I had very good luck with purée stage. I did devilled egg, chicken salad with low fat mayo or Greek yogurt, scrambled eggs with a bit of ricotta cheese mixed in, kept them nice and smooth. Soda crackers and Melba toast also no problem. But getting a bit cocky I was cutting up a costco rotisserie chicken for hubby and was taking small bits and chewing well when all of a sudden It got stuck! It was very uncomfortable for about 15 minutes and kept wanting to come up but it finally passed 😩

Quick question, is anyone getting leg pain at night? I think it might be cause I have fibromyalgia, but dr said I have to wear the DVT tights for two weeks post op and I’m waking with really bad leg pain (not DVT)

Thank you for always checking up on me. Well yes I'm healing okay. However I'm easily fatigued. I'm still here is Cali Columbia recovering. I would go for walks or to the malls and I get tired quickly. I develop a dislike for eating. Just sick of the Soups. Oh and I got the foamy/ slime vomit after even drinking Water. Idk of that's a phase and it will pass but it sucks. I have lost 35lbs since surgery and 45 from my highest weight of 360lbs. I have good days and bad days, and I tell myself I needed this. I'm happy for the forums and the support I get and I cheer for everyone on their own journey.

I'm 13 days post OP and I'm down 21 pounds but I'll say what's helped me is I went back to work a week after surgery and I move and stand around all day and strictly just drink Protein Shakes and eat fish and eggs
