  1. I am an open book. I am working hard and told my supervisor and crewmates about my surgery. No one else knew until I was out for 2 weeks (had some surgery complications) and came back to work about 25 pounds lighter. Then the rumors started! i.e. cancer, divorce, etc. I finally had one co-worker ask if I was okay and what was going on. I told her I had wls and am working hard to lose weight and hope everyone will be supportive. Just like the rumors, the news spread fast and everyone has been supportive and encouraging. I look at it as I am a walking billboard for the surgeon! LOL

  2. I was sleeved on June 18 and have found that I can satisfy my Water wants and keep from wanting to gulp a bunch at once by sucking on ice cubes. I still get my drinks in but I am thirsty a lot of the time so the ice helps. Also I've had New Whey Protein Drinks. I put it over about a 48 ounce bottle of ice to dilute it and drink on that during the morning. It has 42g of Protein and I get my fluids in easier at the same time.

  3. I was sleeved on June 18. I am just now having all sorts of "emotional outbursts" or crying spells. I was on Zoloft prior to surgery and have remained on it since. I also took a lot of herbal Vitamins for moodiness and menopause and have not had any of those since surgery. I don't want to go around feeling sorry for myself. Any pointers?

  4. I am excited, nervous, scared, happy, worried, etc. Monday is my surgery! I had my last check up yesterday and all things are go! I am most worried about throwing up during recovery. I always throw up when I come out of anesthetic. I'm also worried about the 2.5 hour ride home the day after. I got a little travel pillow to put on my belly for the trip pain, but hubby is thinking taking the motor home may be a better idea so I can lay down, sit up, recline, walk, whatever I want. Any last minute advice?

  5. My surgery date is one week away now and I am getting nervous! I'm excited for the change and things to come, but I am nervous about the surgery. I have had other surgeries before and always get sick no matter what they give me when I wake up. My surgeon tells me I absolutely cannot throw up after surgery! I told him he better keep me knocked out then! LOL I am on week 2 of my pre-op and had one cheat over the weekend and ate a little donut my granddaughter gave me (she's 5), but man was it good! Today, I'm back on track and go for my pre-op visit with the surgeon tomorrow. Wish me luck!
