    Yuck!!!

I found "New Whey" drinks on Amazon. Different flavors, diluted with ice and it tastes like KoolAid. It has 42g of Protein, plus your liquid you mix it with! Win-win!

    What to tell coworkers?

I am an open book. I am working hard and told my supervisor and crewmates about my surgery. No one else knew until I was out for 2 weeks (had some surgery complications) and came back to work about 25 pounds lighter. Then the rumors started! i.e. cancer, divorce, etc. I finally had one co-worker ask if I was okay and what was going on. I told her I had wls and am working hard to lose weight and hope everyone will be supportive. Just like the rumors, the news spread fast and everyone has been supportive and encouraging. I look at it as I am a walking billboard for the surgeon! LOL
  3. In our Walmart, they were over by the other protein drinks and whey powders. You can also order them online from Amazon. My personal favorite flavor is the orange and fruit punch. My daughter likes the watermelon and acai berry. Google New Whey and check it out.
  4. I found "New Whey" protein drinks at Walmart. They are in a tube like those 5 hour energy drinks, but I pour mine over ice and dilute it down so I am killing two birds with one stone. More fluid intake and 42 g of protein in one drink! I sip on mine all morning long then sip water all afternoon. 180 calories, fat free, sugar free, gluten free.

  6. I was sleeved on June 18 and have found that I can satisfy my water wants and keep from wanting to gulp a bunch at once by sucking on ice cubes. I still get my drinks in but I am thirsty a lot of the time so the ice helps. Also I've had New Whey protein drinks. I put it over about a 48 ounce bottle of ice to dilute it and drink on that during the morning. It has 42g of protein and I get my fluids in easier at the same time. 7. I was sleeved on June 18. I am just now having all sorts of "emotional outbursts" or crying spells. I was on Zoloft prior to surgery and have remained on it since. I also took a lot of herbal vitamins for moodiness and menopause and have not had any of those since surgery. I don't want to go around feeling sorry for myself. Any pointers? 8. The day has finally come! I am prepped and ready. Wish me luck and I'll see y'all on the flip side!
  9. I am excited, nervous, scared, happy, worried, etc. Monday is my surgery! I had my last check up yesterday and all things are go! I am most worried about throwing up during recovery. I always throw up when I come out of anesthetic. I'm also worried about the 2.5 hour ride home the day after. I got a little travel pillow to put on my belly for the trip pain, but hubby is thinking taking the motor home may be a better idea so I can lay down, sit up, recline, walk, whatever I want. Any last minute advice?

    June sleevers

My surgery date is one week away now and I am getting nervous! I'm excited for the change and things to come, but I am nervous about the surgery. I have had other surgeries before and always get sick no matter what they give me when I wake up. My surgeon tells me I absolutely cannot throw up after surgery! I told him he better keep me knocked out then! LOL I am on week 2 of my pre-op and had one cheat over the weekend and ate a little donut my granddaughter gave me (she's 5), but man was it good! Today, I'm back on track and go for my pre-op visit with the surgeon tomorrow. Wish me luck!
