    Hair Loss

I’m doing really great, 60 lbs down! But I’m taking vitamins and calcium and still losing more hair than I’d like. My hair is already fine/thin. Anybody have any recommendations on a vitamin to take to strengthen my hair and cut down on the hair loss? I’ve read about Biotin but also the side effects. Any ideas? Thanks so much !!

    Feeling out of sorts

Yes, I agree. The strict liquid diet didn't work for me. DON’T GIVE UP!! I gave up and almost lost hope, but eating a high protein breakfast of egg whites mixed with ground turkey worked for me. Don’t quit..you’re doing great. My surgery has me down 60 lbs since May!

    Walking

I’m in Alabama, it’s EXTREMELY hot and humid here most of the year. So it’s hard to go outside and walk (I’m still too heavy to work out hard), so I’m walking indoors in the mornings before I go to work, just walking around my home. I do it for at least 30 minutes but it’s not really helping my weight loss. I am eating healthy and losing weight slowly by my diet alone, but I’ve GOT to start some exercise regimen that pushes me past that point on the scale before I lose my momentum and fall back into bad habits. I feel like the walking would help speed up my weight loss a little, but walking in the house is not really giving me a “sweat” workout. I got laid off from my job and that means no $ for gym membership. Any advice?

    Constipated!

Having big-time problems with constipation! Some days I eat plenty of my protein, on the other days when I need to back off, I do a lot of liquids. But on the days I really need to “go”, it’s extremely painful and exhausting. I’ve tried MiraLAX , But if I take that every day it just gives me diarrhea, so where is the happy medium? What is a good food/liquid that is good for me to maintain continuity without dreading going to the bathroom, while maintaining my low calorie/high-protein diet?

    Constipated!

Gummy pills with fiber sounds great but I looked all over several different grocery stores and drugstores today and I can’t find those. I can find fiber pills, I can find gummy vitamins, but I can’t find gummy pills with fiber count to help my constipation. Please tell me where to find me these . Thank you!

    Constipated!

I tried that But I never can get the ratio right and it’s either not enough or it gives me diarrhea.

    Constipated!

Thanks so much, I’ll go get some today. the Miralax helped at first but if I don’t get the “ratio” right, ( which obviously I can’t) it just gives me diarrhea. THANK YOU!!
  8. I haven’t lost 1 pound in over a month. I have definitely been eating less food, less calories, less times per day. But I am getting no exercise because I lost my job and I am sitting at the computer all day long, looking for another job. I haven’t lost 1 pound in over a month. I have definitely been eating less food, less calories, last times per day. But I am getting no exercise because I lost my job and I am sitting at the computer all day long, looking for another job. I admit I am drinking wine, which I know is a lot of calories but my depression and stress from finances has me so sad I don’t feel like doing anything else. Next month will be my three month check up and I should be around 40 to 50 pounds weight loss and I barely lost 20, and I lost nine in my first week after surgery only because I was just drinking fluids. I have tried to go back on your fluids: Broth, sugar-free Jell-O, sugar-free pudding, Crystal light, etc., But I haven’t lost one single pound I can’t seem to get past that number on the scale. So basically it means I’ve only lost about 10 pounds on my own in two months, which is ridiculous and very disheartening. I hate to think I went to all this trouble, and the surgery only to lose about 10 pounds, when I thought by now I would be about 50 pounds lighter.

    Haven’t lost more weight

Thanks to all your helpful tips I’m back on track. I walked a lot this week and I’ve lost a few more pounds. I know I can’t expect too much of myself but I know what I’m doing wrong and I know I didn’t go through this surgery for nothing. I’m getting serious and getting in a better mindset because I know I have to get back out in the workforce (after losing my job) and feel confident and look confident. That has always been a barrier for me, I’ve got college degrees and almost 30 years work experience in my field but younger, prettier girls are getting the jobs. I know this for a fact. Anyway I’m going to keep trying… Thank you all for your help and kind words I’m getting back on the road to success before I see my doctor for my three month follow-up. Thank you all so much !!!!

  12. It’s been over 5 weeks since my surgery, only lost about 16 pounds. Got over the all-liquid diet and have graduated to solids bug am still eating too much. Five weeks in and i should be about 40 pounds down, so more depressed than ever.

    Still not complying

I lost 10 pounds the first week after my surgery because I stayed on the strict liquid diet. Now I have been drinking calories and also eating to the point of fullness, so I know what I am doing and WHY I have been stuck. I know it's me. I've been trying to get back on track and have good days and do really well then at night I blow it and overeat. I didn't go to all this trouble and expense to only lose 20 pounds, but I know I should be farther along and I am not because of ME. The depression of being laid off from work is certainly not helping and having to look for another job still being this heavy is definitely messing with my confidence. I am going to try to stay positive and get back on the liquid/pureed diet this week, hopefully to "jump start" my mental state. Thanks to everyone for your kind words and support!!

    Help

I am off the full liquid and puréed foods. Although I am eating small amounts of normal food, even though it is low-fat, low calorie, low sugar I am not losing weight. Need to get my mind right so that I can get back on track I have only lost about 20 pounds when I should’ve lost about 50.

    Help

I will try that… I just got laid off from work so I can’t afford to go to the gym. I think that has a lot to do with it, because I know that working out always makes me feel better. I think if I can just stick with the liquid diet like I did the first two weeks I would be more successful but the “thrill” of solid food keeps me off my plan
