    Weak and tired

Check with your doctor to see if they want you to start B12, like FluffyChix stated I received a booklet from my doctor and it showed if your are having sleeve surgery then you take xyz vitamins, Bypass xyz and so on. It's common for them to put you on B12 for energy and while I was in the hospital my doctor ordered B12 shots the day before being released for all of his patients, but run it by your group first honey. I hope you feel better and energetic real soon 🙂

    Weak and tired

Are you taking your vitamins, multi, B12, calcium? I started my vitamins about a week after surgery and I never really was low on energy or tired, I blame it on the B12...

    THE GIFT

Thanks and I agree with you....It's been over 23 plus years since I've seen a (1xx) on the scale so that is just one of my personal goals for myself that's all. Getting off of my diabetes meds was the biggest goal and I have achieved that and it's only getting better!! 😉

    THE GIFT

I actually put my scale in the trunk of my car Saturday morning and will take it out Thursday night to weigh myself Friday morning and then put it back in the trunk when I go out to leave for work. I'm sick of the scale but my clothes are steady getting to big for me. I refuse to let the scaled dictate my success...I have to admit I was having some scale withdrawals though LOL. I think the stress of getting on the scale stalls weight (well at least that's what I want to believe 😂) I will keep you all posted to see how it works for me...I'm 1 pound away from Onderland but that darn scale keeps going up and down LOL Can I just get there please.....

    How much is to much?

You are fine, you won't feel restriction with liquids but once you start on solid foods you will feel restriction. In the weeks to come you will notice that you will be able to drink a lot more water/liquids quicker than the sips.

    Straws

I use straws all the time and do not have a problem actually my team never said not to use straws. If it works for you and doesn't cause any issues I say go for it.

    Stopped

@krazymel24 Hi there...it's pretty typical to lose quite a bit of weight within 30 days after surgery then comes the stalls, most of us have them and go through that, just keep following your plan and the weight will come off, this is a lifetime commitment if you want to be successful and keep the weight off. Please just concentrate on getting in your water/liquids, protein, log your food on whatever app that works for you and try to get in some walking if you are able...be realistic with your goals and be kind to yourself. You have a wonderful tool, enjoy it and make it work for you! Don't obsess over it, take one day at a time. It's not a race honey. It's about getting healthy and figuring out a plan of how to keep this weight off for the rest of our lives. I wish you nothing but the best on your journey, we are all here rooting for you ✌️ ((Hugs))

    Preop not losing

I was not required to do the pre-op diet like most, but the bariatric group I go to just does not require it no matter what size a person is....But I think you will be fine because you are not eating so your liver has to be shrinking even if you do not lose weight...my body is like yours, I need more food to lose weight. Stay positive and do not give in and keep following your doctors pre-op diet. I wish you all the best on your upcoming surgery and a speedy recovery. You got this girl ((Hugs))

    Beer

You got it!! LOL. We give up a lot, it's just like a regular diet except we have a tool to help us out. 😉

    Patient Letter to Insurance?

The bariatric group wanted it from my primary care doctor so she wrote the letter, she had my history of the many failed diets yada, yada, yada. Keep it direct, simple and to the point, the letter that she wrote was a few sentences. I wish you all the best!
  13. At first I wasn't going to tell anyone but close family...but as I got closer to that time I decided that I would tell any and everyone who was interested in my weight loss, plus at my work the rumor mill is no joke tehehehe...so I said they might as well hear it from the source. I don't have a FB so for me I wouldn't go that far but I'm glad that I was open about it because if I can help someone else that's struggling then it's great and one person that I told, her husband has already had the surgery after I told her all about it and another guy co-worker did not even know that our company insurance covered the surgery now he's looking into it...Since I have lost weight so may people at the office are now on diets, walking and trying to get healthier and I think that is excellent, they compliment me all the time and they see that I am putting hard work into it and not eating all of the junk food that is being brought in to our office from customers. So basically I told anyone who asked LOL...That's just me though guys, I respect everyone's privacy and choices as well.
  14. I felt emotional on day 2 while in the hospital but once I came home each day I felt better and better. I was sooooo happy and couldn't believe I had actually went through it. I'm still happy, don't get me wrong I do have frustrated days but I never let it last long and I did it for my health and it has improved drastically and for that reason alone I am happy with emotion. I'm still amazed how losing 41 lbs after surgery 48 total since I started the program could really improve my health so quickly. You are going to feel great after it's over and you start healing and losing...It's a win win 👏

    Anyone NOT taking their vitamins?

WOW!!! Thank you for sharing that story. I do take mine faithfully with no problem but it's good to know what can result from not taking them. 😉

    Super Upset about a Meatball!

I agree with elcee, just use ground chicken or ground turkey. I always use ground chicken even before wls, it's all about the spices. I made some and chopped up fresh mushrooms, spinach, onion and a little shredded cheese, they were delish!! No egg or breadcrumbs either. This is a learning process for us all so don't beat yourself up 😉

    800 Calories Per Day

Oh wow!! Congratulations on your weight loss, you've done great!! 👍
  20. Wanda247

    800 Calories Per Day

I'm a little over 3 months and can barely get in 500 calories a day and I do a lot of cardio at least 1 hour 5-6 days a week. I think that is why I lose slow because I burn more calories than I consume, my body is probably always in starvation mode. My appetite is still low right now. I'm sure it will increase at some point.

    Food is like, meh.

Hi there, That is a normal feeling, I felt the same exact way that you described for a while, it will get better and remember this is a really BIG change for us so you have to get used to the new you that's all. It was days I would either eat to fast or something didn't agree and I would say "forget it I will just start over tomorrow" and eat nothing else the rest of that day, eating actually did feel like a chore, things are much better but I honestly still have days where I don't feel like eating and some days I want to snack all day, I keep my water bottle close by for those days. Hang in there, you will get into your groove and get used to your new normal. It's great!! I love it 😉

Eating at a bar... a new experience.

I think that you will, I can tolerate hot sauce at 3 months out but not that stuff that you mentioned LOL
  23. Wanda247

Eating at a bar... a new experience.

That's funny you mentioned the spice, I learned that fast, no spicy foods before the tummy is completely healed...Now I can tolerate it a little better. I do still enjoy going out to restaurants, wings are my little cheat food, I can only eat about 1.5 and feel so satisfied, I am not reccommending this but when I go out I do order a small water and I sip a little while eating because I just can't wait the 30 minutes and I feel stressed trying to follow the rule while out but that's just me and it works for me. It's trial and error, we still can enjoy life 😉
