    Food Before and After Photos

@MIZ60 I'd rather have that beautiful omelette that you made...I'm not a morning person so I usually just throw something in my bag and bring it to work and eat. But I do love to cook so I'm going to get more creative...mine look so boring lol

    Grieving for clothes?!

So true, my sister-n-law already told me not to throw my clothes away after I have surgery and start losing, she will alter them for me...she is an awesome seamstress!!

@Tealael Great idea!! Since I have not had my surgery yet I am going to start taking pics of what and how much I am eating now so that when I have a stall I can look back on how much I used to eat versus post-op, that way I won't be so hard on myself. You're the best!!
  9. You look great and congrats on all of your weight loss...I'm sorry to hear about your wife, maybe encourage her to have the surgery and take control of her health and to stop acting childish with the spending. Only you know your situation but if you love her and think it's worth it try marriage counseling. I wish you all the best!
  10. AWWW! That is so very kind of you, I always see the women saying that and being supportive so it's nice to see it coming from a guy. Two thumbs up

    First step in the process

@nrbradkey0 I felt like that for a few days in the beginning but was actually very happy after it all sank in, my insurance required me to have 4 months of nutrionist visits, and my group gave me a list of requirements to get done, pretty much similar to yours, lots of blood work, psych visit, a copy of my endo report because I had recently had one done...me personally I needed that time to take everything in, research etc, etc...the time flew by and now as of Friday 7/19/18 I’m waiting for my approval from my insurance company and feeling sooooo nervous and excited. It seems like a lot but you have the time to space out your appointments, it will go by fast...in the mean time keep reading and asking questions on this site, you will learn so much!! The people here are so friendly and helpful...by being on this site it has helped my time to go by fast and I’ve learned so much and made some nice friends as well. Good luck!

    Weight Loss Family Reunion

I would love to meet all of you in person, if you ever decide to do a reunion which I think is the best idea ever, I will make it a point to be there... I just want to say that each one of you in this thread has inspired me so much in so many ways and for that I am so grateful. Everyone’s situation is different so I understand if it doesn’t happen right away but I want you to know it would be a pleasure to meet to each of you xoxo 💋

    My Journey in Boca Raton

I’m still pre-op as of now. I have my last of the required 4 month nutritionist visit by my insurance company next week and then my team will submit to my insurance for approval, I am seeing Dr. Larson at JFK Bariatric Center. I like the program that they offer and they are a great team as well, I’m hoping to have surgery in August, getting very excited so I’m reading as much as I can trying to prepare myself. You are the first person that I came across so far on the site from the south Florida area. Keep up the good work!!

    My Journey in Boca Raton

Congratulations Mitch! Glad to hear that your first week is going well. By the way, I'm your neighbor, I live in Delray Beach. Keep up the good work
  19. I am looking for a simple food tracker app to start logging my meals and exercise, was just curious as to which ones people like the best...All suggestions are welcomed
  20. First week was decent because I literally didn’t want or desire anything. The gas trapped made it undesirable you know but once I started walking it was easier That's great! The first week seems to be a little rough for most based on what I've read but you have passed that and on your way to the finish line...YES!! Can't wait to join you real soon.
  21. That's awesome and very positive to hear for those of us who are still pre-op...Very glad things went well for you and thanks for sharing
  22. How was your first weeks on liquids? I've read so many different experiences. I hope it went good for you...I am trying to mentally prepare myself for when I have my surgery, I'm counting down...
