Ate about five bites...but damn it was IMPOSSIBLY good!
Wanda247 replied to Creekimp13's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
That looks so yummy and you hardly put a dent in it, it’s ok to enjoy something off of the plan every now and then...I think it makes you feel normal...you ate in moderation...I would love to know what brand the turkey burger is, I’ve only tried the Boca burgers and that was before surgery...they are just ok. -
@frustr8 I really do like them a lot but after surgery they gave me gas, I will try them again in a few months.

@beachladee3 congratulations you are almost there, I remember the anticipation that I experienced and I was so nervous and excited too...now I’m 7 weeks post-op. Like you I bought a variety of shakes from vitamin shop because I didn’t know which ones I would like, I’m lactose intolerant so that worked for me, also picked up sf jello, sf pudding and popsicles were my best friend...also the vitamins that I picked up worked good for me. I felt the same way as you prepared and it worked out, what I didn’t have my family brought it to me. I wish you a speedy recovery. Keep us posted 🤗

Not trying to be mean or make you feel bad...but if everyone sent you their stats I think it would make you feel really sad or depressed. Like Matt Z said it's like comparing a car to a building, we are all made up so differently and have different situations such as age, male, female, medical conditions etc. Please just stick to the plan and and the weight will come off and you will feel healthy and happy. The best encouraging stories that I have read on these forums are from the ones that are 12 plus months and further post-op who has lost steady and slow and are keeping it off. No one here is trying to discourage you, we know if you just focus on the number you will set yourself up for disappointment. You have a great tool so use it to your advantage and live your best life one day at a time. I wish you all the best in your journey 😉

It's weird because mine was gone after surgery for about 4 weeks and then it came back for a week, but it was more head hunger and I'm glad that I recognized it, now it's gone again. I'm 7 weeks post-op. But I make myself eat 3 small meals a day and sometimes a afternoon snack. Enjoy and I wish you all the best!

Awwww you look so beautiful! Thank you for the encouraging words and advice. Very motivating Flo. You just look so healthy and glowing. It's people like you that reassures us newbies that we got this and it's not a race, each person is different and we have to take it one day at a time. Thanks again for sharing and encouraging 🙂

Awesome!! Sounds like what I'm doing as well...Keep it up girlfriend 😉

WOW!! Congratulations, you are doing fantastic and you look so good...you started at a low weight and lost a lot of weight quickly, do you mind sharing what your personal plan looks like, food intake, exercise etc.

Maybe just say the next time That is not nice and you do not know her story because EVERY one has one. I always feel that people who bad mouth others do it to make themselves feel better about their insecurities. Also next time tell them that you are going to pray for them and walk away. Poof be gone!!

What’s everyone eating 6 weeks post op?
Wanda247 replied to Vccc's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm eating most of all normal foods except beef and pork, I tried beef but my tummy is not ready for it yet. But yeah my program allows all foods at 6 weeks but they do advise us about beef and pork. -
VSG + Alopecia sucks... so I buzzed it
Wanda247 replied to Kay07's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
You look great either way, it’s nice to have that versatility also and you are so positive about it. Beautiful! 😍 -
Jolly Rancher has a watermelon flavor sugar free mix, it’s so yummy!! I don’t mind water but when I want something sweet I love that one...it’s taste just like the jolly ranch watermelon candy. 😋

@Seahawks Fan you’re doing good and the scale will move soon...I was on a 3.5 week stall and the scale moved today, like you I was somewhat frustrated but I was noticing my clothes getting looser, as long as we stick to and follow the plan we will be fine. Congrats on your weight loss so far 👍🏾

@tmrtyty2018 @Ed_NW drinking that much water is not a bad thing guys, I liked water before surgery and I still like it now and the taste never changed for me after surgery. I’m 6 weeks post op and can really drink a lot of water quickly, I don’t chug like I used to but can take big gulps at a time, I was concerned about being able to gulp a lot of water but another poster who’s almost close to a year post op told me that she can chug water and that made me feel much better. That’s water only...I can only eat 1-2 oz of food at each meal because restriction is great. I wish the both of you well

Gulps I meant

I’m 6 weeks post op and I can drink a lot of water as well, no more sips for me YESSSSS I’m happy because I like water, it was about 3 weeks also when I realized I could drink gulps. I can’t drink 16 oz at one time like before but Hilo’s...As far as eating, try eating slower, put your utensil down between bites, after you swallow then have another bite and maybe you will notice, I was never a burper but now as soon as I get full I start to burp and I feel full. I wish you all the best.

Breast reduction- did anyone get one after surgery? If so why?
Wanda247 replied to xoxococojay's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I had a breast reduction about 15 years ago and I agree with the other poster that it was the best decision ever! I went from 44 DD to a C cup, I’m now a 38 C and I am still very pleased with them, as I lose more weight I’m certain that they will get smaller and perhaps even become saggy but I’m ok with that. Bye the way I wasn’t having back pain or bra straps digging in my shoulders...good plastic surgeons know how to document and get it approved by the insurance companies. I did not see what he submitted to the insurance company but all I had to pay at that time was my $10 co pay, I was ecstatic because my breast became large when I was pregnant with my kid. My surgery was outpatient, had it on a Thursday stopped taking medicine that Sunday and Monday I was driving myself to my follow up appointment and went shopping for bras afterwards. Another great decision 😃 -
So true! We need those little reminders 😊

Same requirements as Orchids&Dragons I have Cigna as well.

How long did it take for your insurance to approve surgery
Wanda247 replied to MatthewM's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums

Bingeing with Bypass
Wanda247 replied to MissLindseyR's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
@Frustr8 Congratulations! That is awesome, you passed me...my surgery was on 8/29/18 I lost 20 lbs really quick (the first 2 1/2 weeks) then another 1 and now stalling and I’m ok with that because I’m sticking to the plan. Besides I think 21 lbs is great for 5 1/2 weeks. I’m so happy for you...keep it up and I will too 😊 -
How long are your food phases?
Wanda247 replied to mooreva0725's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Mine was pretty much the same as @j San The first 10 days full liquids including protein shakes, 1 week of soft, 1 week of purée then full foods but was told to wait about 4-6 months before starting beef/steak and pork chops but everything has been working out fine so far, I’m tolerating everything that I’ve tried. I am 5 1/2 weeks post-op. I wish you all the best -
@Frustr8 I found the tropical popsicles and I am hooked, pineapple is my favorite but I like all 3 flavors...thanks for turning me in to those. My go to snacks are a wedge of laughing cow cheese, with celery, carrots or 5 multi grain sesame crackers, unsalted mixed nuts, string cheese, 1/2 of small apple with peanut butter, 7 seedless grapes, 1/2 boiled egg.
