3 hours ago, JAKE H said:So i had meeting with my nutritionist today. i weighed in at 218. WOOO. But she dropped a bomb on me i wasnt expecting. Time to start thinking about maintenance and upping my calories. While i knew this was approaching it makes me nervous. I do realize for my body type and the way im working out to build muscle, that this is something that has to be done. I told her my energy has been down. So she would now like me to shoot for 1500 cals a day, eventually working to 2000. Is this even gonna be possible or what? im coming up on 7 months out, Ive stuck to this program pretty hard. I guess its just nerves and i have to trust her. Shes gotten me this far. How was your transitions and any advice is welcomed. thanks!!
ps. im 28 years old.
i do crossfit 5-6 times and week
also run 3 times a week. training for a half marathon in September then a full in January.
Jake you have almost made goal and are on you way to a healthy life style dont be scared of food that you need to fuel the machine that is your body to run that marathon choose smart food and healthy you can do it i know you can look how far you have come

2 1/2 months out - 50 lbs lost post surgery and an additional 54 lbs was lost before (on my own, July 2019).
I'm walking fast and exercising amazingly. This, all from the woman who got winded walking down the block to her car.
Life is good!
KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK YOU GOT THIS

14 hours ago, FAT2FLAT43 said:Hi all,
Had VSG a year ago and lost 55 lbs. I had the lapband and of course converted to the sleeve. I experienced loose skin with the VSG as opposed to the lapband, even though I lost more weight with the lapband. I do not want any surgery to remove the loose skin although it’s not that noticeable to someone else, but more of a concern to me since I have to look at it everyday naked. My face is small naturally, but it now looks sunken. I started exercising four months after the surgery; however the loose skin is still very present.
Any suggestions? Intimacy is on the back burner because of this. Help!!!!
i have some loose skin and im a little embarrassed about that however im working through that as when i was bigger i was more embarrassed about that than i am about loose skin still dont wanna take my shirt off in public

you got this bull by the horns take one step after the other you will get to the finish line dont worrie about the steps in other directions remember one step closer to the finish line is better than were you were at before stay focused on the goal and the journey you can do it !!!!!!!
