  1. So I was making deviled eggs for my husband and with out even thinking I took a bite of one chewed it up and swallowed it!!! I have no idea what I was thinking about or even why I did it! My sleeve surgery was on May 15th and I’m almost at the purée stage (about 4 days away). A lot of it came up but not all of it. I’m not in any pain but was for about 20 minutes afterwards. Should I call my doctor or just wait it out???

  2. Was sleeved on May 15th. So far so good. I have one more week of clear liquid before I progress to puréed. But I did purée some squash and zucchini that I had made my husband for dinner and it was amazing. A little early but I couldn’t help myself🙂. I’m still having a hard time with the Protein but Water intake is going good and walking 10,000 steps a day! Just take it day by day and you will do great!!

  3. I'm currently having a second Decaf coffee for the day (rare for me) to try out the new Peptipro collagen Hydrolysate Protein supplement that delivered this morning. 15g dissolves in hot or cold liquids for +14.5g protein without taste or texture, much like my benefibre soluble fibre supplement. Now my morning decaff coffee will deliver 20g protein! (and bonus, the collagen helps improve skin elasticity!).

Keep us posted on how this works for sure!!!

One week of liquids post surgery, weeks 2-4 soft diet (eggs, tuna, canned chicken, over cooked meats, over cooked veggies, oatmeal, reduced fat cheese, etc.), week 5 and beyond sleeve diet. My husband and I have post op appointments Tues. His 6 week and my 1 week F/U. Good luck Monday and keep us posted.

Will do!😀 And good luck at your appointments as well!

My BFF told my husband and I about Water like Protein Drinks that can be purchased at The Vitamin Shoppe that have 40 grams of Protein. We tried two flavors today and they were soooo much better than the flavored shakes. I think that they are called Isopure. Expensive but worth it if you can’t take another shake.

I’m already planning my soft food menu for this week...crustless quiche made with egg beaters, reduced fat cheese and cooked then pulverized turkey bacon, mushrooms, spinach and broccoli. I made this for my hubby when he went through the soft food phase last month and it was incredible! Our kids loved it and had it everyday too. Also a taco dish made from ground turkey, fat free retried Beans, taco sauce and reduced fat cheese.

Has as anyone checked their weight loss yet? I’m down 9 lbs since surgery Monday. It’s CRAZY!!

I’m headed to Amazon right now and looking up these drinks. I seriously don’t think I can choke down one more shake. I was on 5 shakes a day for the week before surgery and that’s all. Nothing else so I’m done with them!!! Thanks for the suggestion!!! And you may have to send me some quiche!😜

  6. I’m still gurgling and burping quite a bit. Trying to track my liquids but I’m quite sure that I’m not at 64oz. Protein........yeah that’s been another challenge. I am soooooo sick of Protein Shakes that I have to gag them down so it’s about half the Protein. I’m good with my Vitamins. And as far as #2 it hasn’t happened yet. Last time was a week ago but that’s actually normal for me so I’m not concerned about that.

Just make sure you call your surgeon if your incision looks infected. Glad you’re taking it easy next week. I plan on taking 2 weeks off after surgery.

I’m having my husband check it out each night. I’m still really swollen and I’m sure I will be for awhile. When is your surgery date?

  8. Somewhat. I have a large bruise around the largest incision and have continued to take my pain meds every 6 hours. I’m sure it will get better but I am going to take off most of next week from my job as well. Thanks so much for checking on me❤️What a sweetheart!!! I see that you 5’2. I’m 5’1 and weighing in at 193. It’s going to be a long journey but well worth it!!!!
