  1. Mine didn’t give a carb goal either Just protein and water
  2. Sorry but you ask me an a-hole question “did you have weight loss surgery?” You’re getting an a-hole answer
  3. I totally disagree with there being a self imposed stigma. I didn’t tell people, not because I was/am embarrassed, but because it’s my business. Each person needs to do what’s right for them. Some people like telling others, some are more private, some might actually be embarrassed and that’s ok. There is no RIGHT way to have WLS
  4. By two weeks I felt so much better. Give yourself some time
  5. My husband works out like crazy and then comes home and eats 8 Girl Scout cookies. I try to explain to him how important diet is and he says “well, I worked out so it evens itself out” Um, not unless you ran a marathon. He still Eats like he has the metabolism of a 20 year old guy.
  6. Nope, just a half hour 1:1 talk
  7. I got my first backhanded compliment today..."You look great, God, do you eat ANYTHING anymore?" I replied with "Yes, lots of protein"
  8. I guess we’d need to know a little more about what you’re eating on those days
  9. I had a couple slices of pizza before starting my liquid diet. It worked out fine for me
  10. How are you doing with water intake? I’ve found that to be a huge issue in whether I do/not drop pounds
  11. Once I finished all my insurance requirements
  12. Please don’t get a lap band
  13. Totally agree! My kids are loving their new mom ? I have more energy, fewer headaches, I laugh more, I can keep up with them (well, sort of...no one has energy like little boys)
  14. Hopefully I’ll sweat less
  15. July 10, 2018 Bypass 110 lbs so far Pre surgery 288, day of surgery 276 lbs, current weight 178 lbs
  16. Thank you! It hasn’t been easy, but it’s been so worth it
  17. There are all sorts of ways to flavor your water; fruit, cucumber, water enhancers
  18. I had the bypass 7 months ago. I have lost 110lbs so far. No regrets. I am still baffled about how/why people think the sleeve is the “easier” surgery. Nothing easy about either surgery
  19. First few days are the hardest by far. After a couple days, it becomes sooooo much easier
  20. Half way into the meal just say “something is upsetting your stomach” or “tastes funny” or something.
  21. My insurance only asked for a starting weight
  22. Depends on how much moving around you do while on stage
  23. I used to have migraines that would send me to the Er. Now they have lessened in intensity, frequency and length. Something about how being overweight makes the internal body inflamed. I can’t remember exactly. Once you start losing the weight and eating better foods, the inflammation decreases
