  1. Happy to keep each other accountable if you need help
  2. I took my kids to the nearby amusement park yesterday. As my youngest was riding the “swings” there was a child (maybe 6 or 7) attempting to ride. Unfortunately he was so large, he couldn’t fit into the chair. After trying multiple times, he finally gave up and sadly left the ride. I saw the heart break and embarrassment in his face as he walked back toward his parents. Sadly, both his mom and dad were morbidly obese as well. I couldn’t help but feel anger and sadness for this child. He didn’t choose this path, he doesn’t grocery shop, prepare meals, etc. At that moment, I was so glad for this tool I was blessed with, I was giving a second lease on life and the ability to teach my children about healthy foods, being active and the importance of loving yourself. As parents it’s our job to do better for our children, I vow to do right by my kids!!!! ❤️
  3. She kind of snuck it in there...I guess it didn’t really stick until afterward. Of course I’m going to send her a follow up message, I was just looking for thoughts from others
  4. I’m always cold now....less “insulation” I guess ?
  5. She said my blood pressure was low, that’s all. Didn’t say if that was a “bad” thing, just that it was low ??‍♀️
  6. I went for my one year post op appt today. I’m 5’7” and 166 lbs. my BMI is 26, still in the overnight category. She told me at two different points during the appt she would like me to stop losing weight. I’d like to at least get to the “normal” range for my height. Ultimately it’s still my decision, I just thought it was strange. Any thoughts?
  7. If you are prone to reflux, bypass is a better option. Sleeve is not an “easier” surgery. The are both very invasive
  8. I told my parents and my husband. That’s it. I did WLS for me and I don’t owe anyone an explanation.
  9. No way, wait a few months. Salads are not puréed

  11. I had the bypass, totally life changing My arms started out ~15 inches and are currently about ~11 inches. I have been really diligent about building muscle and taking my collagen and protein. Plus I think genetics play a huge roll in how our skin reacts

  20. My surgeon didn’t even have a pre op diet. Just nothing to eat/drink after a certain time. You’ll be fine. Also, July 10th will be my one year anniversary. It’s a good day! You’ll do fine
