  2. I had a lot of bruising from the Luvox injections. They did take weeks to go away.

  5. You did it before and can do it again. Just start over and look at what you were eating when you lost weight. Also, you matter and are important. It sounds like you have a great support system. Have you talked to your doctor or NUT? Maybe they can help you get back on track. Maybe talk to a counselor about everything. You’ve got this!

  7. I also like my fitness pal!
  8. Oh yea, I didn’t eat any rice!
  9. I got steamed chicken and vegetables with brown sauce on the side. I would dip the chicken and vegetables a little in the sauce. It was actually filling and I didn’t miss the food being drenched in the sauce.

  12. So sorry to hear you’re going through this. Hang in there. I’m glad you know what it is bc you can’t fix/ cope with what you don’t know. I’m glad you got answers, but I hope that come up with solutions.
  13. I was given Oxycodone when coming from the operating room and then Percocet via IV for the first day. The IV pain meds don’t last as long as the oral meds. The IV ones do work faster though. My doctor had IV and oral ordered and it was my choice. You can always ask for more or something different if you’re in a lot of pain. Most doctors are accommodating.

  16. I didn’t know if I wanted co-workers to know, but I chose to tell them and it was a weight lifted. They knew I was having surgery, but it is more exhausting and awkward trying to talk around the surgery then just being upfront. I feel that you should do what you’re comfortable with, but I am a private person I feel proud taking control of my health. If people talk or judge, so be it. This is your life, choice to have surgery and ultimately your decision who you want to know!
  17. That’s so awesome! Congrats!
  18. I have 5 incisions and they were glued. I was lucky to have no issues with the incisions and they are healing great! I think it’s all surgeon preference.

  20. I had my sleeve on 5/9 and I am also so done with the liquids. You are so lucky to have eggs. I have to wait until Wednesday. I don’t have to do a puréed stage, but 2-4 weeks of soft food. I don’t care, soft or puréed, is fine with me because it’s been a month without much! I can’t believe I’ve made it this far! We are all stronger than we may think!!!

  24. I have my surgery May 9! I’m excited, but also nervous about starting the pre-op diet. Mine is pretty restrictive.
