    New feelings

The noises are normal. It's almost like it grew a voice. The cramp may be from the surgery but I would call the surgical team just to be sure. Have you noticed if it happen at a specific time or after eating or drinking? Try to track it if you can and let them know that information as well. Happy healing and hope this does not bother you for long.
  2. Your beautiful both with and without hair. The buzzed look agrees with you.
  3. Have you talked to you surgeon about it? Reach out to them and see if they can help you out. I'm sure your not the first case they have heard it from. Good Luck to you, hope you feel better SOON!!!!

    1 week post op

You will retain water from surgery and your swollen. Give yourself time to heal up and stick to your program. The weight will come off. Don't let the scale get you frustrated. Happy healing and enjoy the journey!!!
  5. Congrats to you two and best to you as well for your surgery. I doubt they'll postpone due to a cold and hopefully by the surgery day you'll feel a lot better.

I'm back on the grind again. Sorry for absence.

I can't seem to find the motivation to start working out. I've even stopped walking. I'm still losing weight on the regular but.... I have a semi home gym so don't know why I can't get on it. Good for you for getting back into it and sticking to it.

    July Sleeve

I'm taking in between 500-850 per day. I usually eat two eggs with some type of cheese for breakfast, A shake for my 2nd meal, 2oz of some type of protein for and veggies for 3rd meal than another shake in the evening. If I have a snack it's either a SF ice pop or pickle spears. I get about 90-120+ grams of protein a day and drink at least 126oz of water including what I mix into my shakes.

    July Sleeve

Had a follow up with the surgeon last Thursday to go over blood work and this morning with my PCP for the same. Cholesterol was slightly high but I havn't taken meds for it since a couple of weeks after surgery. PCP told me today I don't have to take anymore BP meds and she dropped one of my blood pressure meds. Go back to her in a month and hopefully she'll take me off the 2nd BP med. Shitty part is now that my gut is going down she noticed a 2nd hernia. So now umbilical and abdominal hernias. With the weight loss the damn things have started bothering almost all day long. Apparently my fat was holding them in place so I had hardly any pain before. My surgeon wants to wait until I lose more of my belly fat to repair them, so no relief for some time.
  12. I like this one A LOT!!!
  13. Hopefully when you call the nurse that blew you off answers. Think of something clever to say to her and be sure to bring it up with the surgeon when you speak to him face to face. Glad you got it figured out.

23 days out and still no loss

I thought I was a patient man prior to having this surgery but for the first few weeks I felt like things were moving in slow motion. Put a phone call into your surgeon or NUT and let them know just to make sure but as frustrating as it can get just know if your following your program it's ok to take it slow and for things to take time to happen.
  16. You should check with your PCP to make sure the absorption rate will not be affected by the size of your stomach. At the beginning I took mine two at a time with sips of water. After about a month I was able to take them all at once again. I was also told no pill bigger that the bed of your pinkie nail but fortunately the only one that was, was my multi which I switched to a bariatric brand and they are much smaller. I felt full but it lasted a short time. You should be fine, especially doing it right before bed.

    Calories???

500-800. Sometimes lower and sometimes, rarely, a bit higher.

    Phys evaluation

Mine was like 15 minutes. She asked if I had depression, why. If I had thoughts about suicide and why I wanted to have the surgery. Also about support from home.

    July Sleeve

July 12th here. Things are going really well. I weighed in this morning at 279lbs. Puts me at 100lbs down from my highest weigh in which was early March of this year and 63lbs down since surgery date. CONGRATS everyone on your great success'.

    Sometimes I even shock myself
  21. This next one is with resistance bands.
  22. I've got an umbilical hernia which was the initial reason I went to see my surgeon. All I was doing was standing up stretching with my arms outstretched above my head then for some reason I coughed mid stretch and I felt it pop. It bothered me the first few days but then I guess settled in. The Doc said it was because the fat in my belly was holding it in. Now that I'm losing weight it's really starting to bother me but they want me to lose more belly fat so there is no chance of it tearing again. When I stand/walk it drops and I can feel it in my belly button hole. The pain sort of feels like a belly ache but goes around my entire mid section front and back below the belly button. I was prescribed an abdominal binder to hold it in hopefully buying more time for me to lose more weight. Try putting pressure on the spot you feel it and see if it relieves it. Just don't press so hard, it may cause more pain (did that the other night, not good). I was told hernias are common in this area for overweight people because of the stretch on the belly. Good luck and hope you feel better SOON.
