How long did it take to lose 100lbs

It’s so inspiring to hear of all the weight that everyone has lost. It deff gives me that drive and push that can so easily be lost in the day to day but when you think of how far you can come in a few months it’s deff well worth doing things right to maximize the loss.

    Itchy Incisions

Itching is a sign of healing leave it alone! Don’t scratch or put anything on there it’s supposed to be dry and clean. As told by my surgeon

I want to and I also want to enter my surgery date and all that stuff but I don’t know how [emoji30] I’m 5’5 my first goal weight is 250lbs then 200lbs and lastly 150lbs. I’ve broken it down into a few goals because it’s easy to get discouraged looking down from being so far up but the smaller goals are my “way to go, you’re almost there” pat in the back [emoji38] What’s your goal weight? Slow losers

If you have an iphone download happy scale and enter your weight everyday and it’ll tell you in how long you’ll be a certain weight and it gets more and more accurate as you have more entries because it tracks your percentage. This is the best thing I could have done because I too weigh myself so much that it could be considered aerobics the amount of times i hop on and off that scale 🤣🤣 Yo-Yo Girl from New York City
  7. I had gastric bypass over a month ago and my surgery went great. No pain, no gas, no nausea no nothing but I have a little problem.. I get hungry. I know some people don’t get hungry, others feel a little hunger but I get hungry HUNGRY! I feel almost the same hunger pangs that I used to get before I had my surgery yet that doesn’t bother me too much because when I do eat I can only have a few bites before restriction takes over regardless of how hungry I feel. With that being said, my issue is how long it takes my stomach to send me the message that I’m full. So let me explain.. I get hungry, I eat, I feel the restriction, I stop. I’m still hungry but I can’t eat anymore. 15min later after I’ve finished eating is that my fullness comes in and it’s like a weed brownie but Instead of getting higher and higher I get fuller and fuller and fuller until I feel like I will burst. I hate when this happens and the only way to control it is if I stop eating while I still feel like I’m starving and walk away from my food and even then it’s not guaranteed. Does this happen to anyone else? It happens with any and everything broth, soup mash, solids. Yo-Yo Girl from New York City

    When to stop eating?

I used to be the same way, I didn’t get hungry or full. I was just trying to stay hydrated and would sip water and protein but was too scared to have too much. I literally drank from a medicine cup and took me 3 sips to get it down. But I’m deff going to try and eat even less take a brake and if I must eat a little more but it just seems like crazing. Ugh i really dislike this late fullness thing I have going on [emoji30] Yo-Yo Girl from New York City

    Changing taste buds

My tastebuds are exactly the same. The good tasty food I like remain the good tasty food I still like but prob will prob make me sick to death. When I hear people talking about their tastebuds I feel like they are lying 🤥 or exaggerating but just because it didn’t happen to logically I know that doesn’t mean it can’t happen to others. I also never experienced nausea or gas so I’m the exception I guess. Im one month out gastric bypass Yo-Yo Girl from New York City

    Food funerals are not fun

Wish I could go back to my food funeral and eat even MORE! I’m a month plus out on my bypass and I can barely eat 300-500 cals a day and I deff can’t eat the stuff I love but that’s the plan. 30+lbs down in a month Yo-Yo Girl from New York City
  12. I know how important water and protein is so please spare me with that and yes I have a nutritionist who gives me a list of allowed foods. My question is.. what’s the ideal number of calories I should eat and what number should we always aim to be under? How many calories are you guys eating a day? I’m one month 2 days post op (gastric bypass) and I’ve lost 26lbs My main prob is going from slider foods to being able to eat regular food. Now I have to actually be careful of what I eat and the carbs in it as opposed to before when all I could ingest was an ounce or two and all that mattered was if it was soft, mushy or runny consistency so that I could have something to eat at all. Now that I can eat “normal” low carb high protein is the goal and that has been a little bit of a challenge. Ideally I’d love to have 5 small meals low in carb high in protein and max 800 calories. Is this realistic? Yo-Yo Girl from New York City

    Thank me later

I doubt it but then again i don’t know about google play because I don’t own an android. The app I use is happy scale and Libra was just an alternative for people who do not own an iPhone. I’m not sponsored or know the developers this app already has 5 stars and thousands of reviews. Yo-Yo Girl from New York City
  14. I just can’t keep this to myself.. for everyone who weighs themselves everyday and often wonder at what rate they are losing and in how long will they be at any given goal weight, well there’s an app for that. There’s this App called “Happy Scale” and it will track your weight and set everything up for you into milestones and it’s so easy to read and track. This app has totally changed how I track my weightloss, I wake up in the morning and can’t wait to weigh myself and enter my numbers in. Let me know how you guys like it. Thank me later

What a bummer, unfortunately happy scale is only avail on Apple but doing some searching I found out that the equivalent to happy scale for Android is an app called “Libra”. It will give you a moving average and a trend line all the same. Yo-Yo Girl from New York City

    Am I the only one?

Yep and it happened like 2 weeks before. I was freaking out about my cold but my doctor said it wouldn’t keep me from getting surgery. The prob was that I had a cough from hell and I felt like if I coughed like that after my surgery I’d deff snap every single staple and stitch but the antibiotics they gave me after surgery to prevent infection completely cured my cough. I totally understand what you feel, it’s been such a long and difficult road to get here and with our luck the chances of something getting in the way it’s not very unlikely lol.. Do tired of vomiting

You will feel a million times better if you had nausea meds. Get the patch that goes behind the ear. That’s what my doc gave me and it hella works without you worrying about taking it orally and feeling worse. Yo-Yo Girl from New York City

    May 2018 losers bench

I’m truly blessed to have no idea what it feels like to have the gas discomfort. If it wasn’t because of my incisions and restriction I would truly wonder if I really got a gastric bypass or if my surgeon just put me out and woke me back up pretending to do surgery on me lol. I literally had 0 gas and was healed by the 3rd day. Day 4 I was already driving and taking my mom to work. Now 2 weeks post op I have to slow myself down and remind myself that I had surgery because Im doing too much and I want to eat and do things as if I’ve never had surgery. I even joined the gym and been working out for an hour everyday. I really thought I was going to be in bed for weeks with lots of pain and discomfort just calling out for ppl to bring me things to my bedside. Right now I’m on the facet where I’m just so in love with my pouch. It’s easy to forget how bad we all wanted this with all the preop diet surgery and pain but we have to stop and soak this in and remember just how blessed we are to finally have our procedure be it a sleeve or bypass. I never lose focus and I’m thankful everyday, every single day. In love with my pouch is an understatement. Fast healing everyone! Yo-Yo Girl from New York City

I made them give me everything thro IV I wouldn’t drink anything by mouth or eat. I had some ice chips but for the most part I didn’t eat the 3 days I was there. When I got home I felt better and experimented with liquids. Even the Gatorade that i now drink and like the orange G2 I wouldn’t drink it while I was at the hospital lol. I didn’t try either or forced myself. It wasn’t something i felt necessary to put myself through, I already had iv’s and I had a line for Med do I requested everything through my line. 24. The wait is over and here I am in love with my pouch. The worst part about this was the 2 week preop diet. Don’t let anyone talk trash about it being just as hard post op. Right now i have no hunger no desire to eat and there’s nothing hard about that lol. Anyhow just wanted to give everyone out there that is still in the process some hope. I’m literally in cloud 9 and often catch myself with a big smile thinking wow I really just had a bypass! Yo-Yo Girl from New York City
