Be stronger then the cheese balls! Can you move them out of your site? That’s what I have to do when I’m tempted by a food that has been brought into the house that is my weakness.

I got these at Sprouts in the medical refrigeration area. They are very small. I take them twice a day.

I had a RNY because of a previous failed surgery (10 years ago) to correct my L shaped esophagus. 1/2 of my stomach was above my diaphragm. Food was getting stuck just about every day. My BMI was about 34. I didn't have to do any of the pre-op things that people with high BMI’s have to do. My doctor wasn’t a WLS surgeon. He was a thoracic surgeon & told me to find all of my info on the internet. After I decided I wanted to do the surgery it was only 2 months til I had it. I spoke with a nurse and a nutritionist through my insurance (Cigna) several times before & after my surgery. I am 13 months out from my surgery. I have lost 65 lbs. I would like to loose 5 more to get me to the top end of a healthy BMI for my height. The weight has dropped pretty easily & I know it’s gotta be exercise that takes off the last 5. I also know I would not have lost 65 lbs on my own. Now I just got to keep it off & that scares me Good luck in whatever you decide to do.

I had that Lichen stuff 15 years ago. It was awful! I get really paranoid when I 1st feel the thrush! I have been to the dr & had a pap done to rule out any STD’s. And I didn’t have any! PRAISE JESUS!

I keep getting a yeast infection or thrush since my RNY a year ago. I take acidophilus twice a day but about every 3 weeks I need to take a Diflucan. Anyone else have trouble with too much yeast? I don’t eat bread or carbs, I hardly have any sugar.

Most of the incisions will be above your waist so it should be fine.

I don’t think most nut are Bariatric patients & realize how hard it can be for some of us.

I take 400 mg of magnesium citrate 3 times a day & eat 4 prunes. My PCP put me on this after I told him I was taking 2 laxatives, 2 stool softeners, miralax & 4 prunes a day. I have to set a reminder to take the magnesium citrate in the middle of the day. I still need to use an enema about once a week.

I am currently taking 600mg of magnesium a day for constipation. When I did Isagenix & I took the Natural Accelerator & Isaflush I never had any trouble pooping but now I do. I was thinking about trying the accelerator & flush again. Is there anyone in the same boat as me or someone who is currently using these Isa products?

My daughter had that too! It’s an allergic reaction to the surgical tape. Cal your doctor to see if it’s alright for you to take them off & use a cortisone cream on them.

I had dry skin also in the 1st 8 months after my surgery. Lotion, lotion, lotion! Don’t take a shower or bath every day if you can. Don’t use soap on your whole body either. Just your underarms & private parts. Soap washes away your skins oil & you need that oil right now!

My thumb nails are bad & big toe nails are bad. I had a RNY 11 months ago. I also have a crack at the corner of one of my nails most of the time from my skin being so dry. Wish I had an answer for the both of us!

Interesting thought. I have always gotten car sick. I have noticed that I can read in the car now. I never thought that having a RNY would change that but maybe it did.

Do you really think it’s a good idea to ask a bunch of strangers with no medical degree if it’s OK to go against your surgeon’s instructions? There’s a medical protocol for this surgery for a reason.

Just focus on protein & fluid intake right now.

Good question. I’m allergic to Gavilyte-G (just one of the prep solutions) so I had to drink something else. I can't remember what it was.

One way to slow your eating down is to put your utensils down between bits.

I had them I’m my hips recently. Never thought that I shouldn’t.

Just goes to show that we all are on our own journey. What works for someone might not work for every one. Listen to your body & do what’s right for you!
