Welcome back to life!
-
I took a lot of gasX, Dramamine (25mg meclizine) & a few pain pills for the 1st 2-3 months. And regretted even having the surgery. My daughter said I made it look so easy. I was just hiding it.

toodlerue replied to Ellf's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I wonder the same thing. -
So what are the ones that are better? I’ve been drinking Premier for the last 1.5 years!

I have used one for over 12 years! I wear It so my husband doesn’t hit me during the night! Hahaha I too wake up feeling like it is going to blow off my face & with a very dry mouth. I had A home study test the beginning of the year I had the lowest number of episodes a person can have to have apnea! The doctor lowered my pressure & it was still happening. So I GOOGLED HOW TO CHANGE THE PRESSURE on my machine & DID IT MYSELF! I just took it down from a 5 to 4.5 & it is much better now.

On Q Pain system?

I had a pain pump. But I don’t think it was an On-Q. -
It all depends on you! I can have a limited amount of sugar without dumping. Then I over do it & feel terrible for about 15 min. Sometimes I have just 2 bites of a cookie & then throw it away.

So glad you were able to enjoy your day! 6 months ago you also wouldn’t have had the energy to last that long at Cedar Point!

Medication question from a newbie
toodlerue replied to pssk's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I take about 14 pills a day. I don’t crush them. That was too biter!!! I just Take them with my morning protein drink or water. I still need the cpap. I tried sleeping without it for a few nights & my husband says I still have apnea. I have lost 60 pounds. -
Ice! You can freeze water in a Dixie cup & then use the big ice cube to massage your hip. I have also used a “muscle roller stick” on my hip when it felt like a very, very tight muscle in my hip. A foam roller can also help.

Wow! This could explain why I am So much more emotional! -
Does your insurance have a nurse or nutritionist you can talk to? We have Cigna. I would speak with one or the other every 2-3 weeks in the beginning. I had A RNY for medical reasons, my BMI was 33 so I had A Thorasic Surgon. He told me to get all my info from the internet.

Have you already had WLS or any kind of esophagus or stomach surgery before?

Hormones??? What is going on with me?
toodlerue replied to BecomingMeMissy's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
It could also be the anesthesia leaving your system. I have quite often found myself an emotional wreck 5-14 days after a surgery. I’ve had 12 surgeries in my 54 years! -
Way to go! That’s where I wanna be! How tall are you?

I sometimes have to take a swallow of water at the end of my meal just to get the taste of the food out of my mouth. My husband makes me get water when we go out just to make the server feel better🤣
