I loved the Pampered Chef Cinnamon Plus but they don’t make it anymore. I am a sugaraholic (I would put 1/4 C on my Rice Crispies). But I have found that I can eat unsweetened applesauce & oatmeal without any sugar if I just sprinkle some of the CP on it! I wanted to share the recipe with all of you! 6T cinnamon 1/2t ground ginger 1T orange peel 1T all spice 1t cloves 2t nutmeg Mix it all together an sprinkle it on apples, oatmeal, grits, sweet potatoes.

Today I made bone broth with 3 marrow bones, 1/2 an onion, some carrots, celery, parsley, bay leaves & garlic in my crock pot. Saved the carrots & pureed them with some of the broth for when I can have them the week after my surgery. Placed the broth 4-8oz into breast milk collection bags (they are sturdier then regular zip-lock bags) & put everything into the freezer. I also froze some in an ice cube tray to use later when I make more puréed food. I bough bone broth before when I had to do a liquid diet before a colonoscopy last year. It was so gross! I knew I could make it better & I did! Toodles, Rue

I haven’t had my WLS yet (11 more days) but I have had a few other surgeries where I have been blown up with co2. Sometimes the pain in shoulders (because the gas rises) has been worse then the surgery! Toodles, Rue

I just made my own carrots tonight when I made some bone broth if my liquids. Put them in the freezer for the purée stage. Toodles, Rue

I have never like artificial sweeteners. But I have been trying some lately. Today I bought some yogurt with some in to try! It is so awful! I don’t know if I can do it! Any suggestions? Toodles, Rue

It’s the shock of surgery. My daughter had major back surgery when she was 15. They told us to bring pads with us to the hospital. (We knew she would be there for at least 5 days) Sure enough, she had a period 3 days after the surgery. So also had to have surgery again 2 1/2 weeks after the 1st one. 3 days later, her friend came to visit her. Toodles, Rue

See if there are any Hanes/Playtex outlet stores near you. They should do fittings there. Or look for specialty bra shops in your area. Or maybe even an upscale department store has a bra fitter. They are hard to come by anymore. When you do find a bra that you fits you, put your shirt back on so you can see how the girls look in your clothes with the bra on. Toodles, Rue

Anyone have to do a bowel prep before a RNY? I can see the benefit since the doc will be attaching your intestine to your new stomach. Just tell me it’s not as bad as getting ready for a colonoscopy! Toodles, Rue

My dr suggested making shakes with whey powder, unsweetened almond milk & 1/2 a banana. You could add your own sweetener to it. Toodles, Rue
