    Accutane (isotretinoin) after RNY?

Both of my daughters did acutane as teenagers. I did not look at all the risks. They just wanted clear skin. Looking back I would only have put them on it if they had cystic acne. It almost ruined one girls liver. Do your research & take with caution.

    Puréed Food Diet

I bought some but didn’t eat it. I just Puréed whatever I had made for the family. My puréed chicken with made with broth was way better then premade baby food!

    Post op emotions

I’m just over 5 months out. I’d say it took me about 2-3 months. When others started to notice or family members told me how good I am doing.

How fast can I bounce back?

This surgery takes a lot out of you. My daughter had a hard time going back to work in retail at 10 days. She found it hard to get enough protein in to have enough stamina to make it through a 4 hour shift.
  12. I had mine at 53. So glad I did!

  16. Cook veggies in broth to give them more flavor & then use some of the broth when you mush them.
  17. I’m sorry they feel that way! How big is your wife? Is she jealous? Are you smaller then her now?

    Cooking with pea protein milk?

I have used soy to make mashed potatoes & soups before & it worked fine.
  19. I ate Meatloaf made in my insta pot during the soft stage. I didn’t have any problems at all. The insta pot makes The meatloaf so tender & juicy not at all like when I would make it in the oven. Everyone is different you have to figure out what your body can handle

    My incisions are itching

Yes! It means they are healing. I have always put a hydrocortisone cream on my stitches when they started to itch! I had major back surgery 5 years ago. Image having a 20” incision down the middle of your back start itching! I used hydrocortisone on that too with no problems! Just make sure your hands are clean!

    Pain meds

It normally takes me 3 months to go through my 60 count of Norco (I have them because my back is fussed from T2-T12). I went through 1 bottle the month after surgery. The pain in my shoulder from the gas used during surgery was so bad for 3 weeks. The pain lasted longer then any other gas pain I had from any of the abdomen surgeries when the gas was used.

    7 wks post

I’m at the same place you are. My surgery was May 16th. I have only lost 25 since surgery, but 35 since Jan. That’s when my doctor counts it from.

    Paraesophageal Hiatal Hernia

I had A Fundolipaction 12 years ago to repair a Hiatal hernia. It came undone & forced my esophagus into an L shape & 1/2 of my stomach was above my diaphragm. I had a bypass 2 months ago. My BMI is in the 30’s. My dr made my stomach a little bigger & didn’t bring as much of my intestines up. He isn’t a Bariatric Dr. He’s a Thorasic/Esophagus dr.

    Problems with gas

I had A RNY in May. I don’t have problems with gas at all. I’m constipated most of the time & I’ve read that that’s normal too. Everyone is different after surgery so who knows what your body will do.
