Infection is gone but still leaking!

Abby. . You can't have cottage cheese amd scrambled eggs on your mushies hon? Its funny how different our doctors can be. Anyhow, I don't know you or your story cause I just got on here and really started posting a few days ago but it sounds like you have had a rough go at it? I hope things continue to get better for you hon, take care!!

    The day is FINALLY here!

How exciting!! I hope everything went well for you hon! Can't wait to hear how you're doing!!
  5. So i went in at 11am for my post operation check up. I lost 3 lbs, I was happy with that, surprised it wasnt more given my diet the past week but I am okay with 3lbs. The appointment went great they gave me all of my information for the mushies stage, which I start next week, Monday at the earliest. Then I am on that for 10-14 days and then its soft foods for 10-14 days. At first I was thinking how the heck am I gonna do this? But now I have really thought about it and I have decided I will definitely do it! I did not go through this surgery in vain, I WILL do what they tell me to and I WILL lose the weight! So I am outta here now to go make a wonderfully yummy dinner for my family, LOL!! Then I am off for my walk, oh and my next appointment is on Sept 23rd and they said I will more than likely get my first fill then. Have a great night ladies, hope everyone is doing GREAT!!

    Yes i am officially banded!!!!

Congrats! Its the beginning of a new life, how exciting!! I got my period the day before surgery as well, Iit was a week early! When I go to the hspital I told the nurses and they went and got these real thin gauzy kind of boy short panties for me to wear and gave me those huge pads you wear when you have kids. I was having flashbacks, LOL!! Anyhow they let me wear them into surgery so I guess I lucked out cause I was nervous too on how they would handle it. Unless they took them off me in surgery?! That's a wierd thought, LOLOL!

    scale question...

Yeah I only lost 3 lbs since my surgery but 3 lbs in one week is pretty good so I am happy with that. Honestly I did expect to lose more though since our diets right now are so restrictive but its ok, I will take my 3lb lost and be happy with it!! Slow and steady wins the race!!!

    im hungry!! :(

Yeah I hear ya, I was feeling the same way on Sunday when I went to my FIL house and he made corn on the cob and italian sausage and potato salad, OMG I just sat there salivating!! I added another scoop of protein powder to my shakes, talked to my Doc about it today at post op appointment and she said that was absolutely fine. It seemed to make a difference for me so maybe you could try that? I think no matter what way us wives and mommies do it, it is going to SUCK making yummy dinners for the fam for the next few weeks! It will be over before we know it and I just keep telling myself that these stages are important and that it won't last forever, UGH!
  9. Ok, awesome it worked! But I forgot to put on there my banding date so I will go do that now quick, thanks for the help!
  10. Yup, I got my pic and this will be my first post trying out my new signature as well, so I hope it works right!!
  11. THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH FOR THE TIP!!! I tried the pillow under my side thing and only woke up once last night and not because of pain, I had to pee, LOL!!! Thank you, thank you, you don't even know how much I needed some sleep!! Mrs Mateo I completely understand where you are coming from! Thankfully I don't really have gas pains, I only had them the first 3 days. When I was still in the hospital the docs and nurses told me to walk, walk, walk to alleviate the gas pain. So that's what I did, i would get my pain medicine and then walk for twenty minutes, every time I got my pain meds. It didnt feel great and my legs and butt hurt terrible the next day but it worked and for that I am thankful!! I will take some minor muscle aches over that gas pain anyday! Hang in there!!
  12. Thanks so much for your help hon!!

  15. Ok, first things first where do I set up my signature? I am fairly computer savy and I have been on forums before but I can't seem to find how to set one for myself? Next, I am wondering how you guys got your picture on the thing when you post, almost like an avatar? I upload a pic to an album under my account but I don't see where it says you can add it to your profile/posts? And lastly, I am wondering if this is a "group" I need to join or do I just post on the the threads in here and that does it? Sorry to sound so ignorant but I want to get these things figured out so I can involved in the postings. I think support is the biggest key to success and from what I have read so far you are all so wonderfully supportive!! Looking forward to getting to know you all! ~Jess:thumbup:
