I go in at 5:30am and surgery is at 7:30am! Just gotta get through this whole day of my clear liquids!

Every time I fell asleep, it seemed like a nurse was in messing with me! I just walked in the door of my house and I’m going straight to my own bed!

That’s wonderful! It’s a huge relief to be on the other side. They sent me home yesterday. Felt so good to get 3 full hours of uninterrupted sleep. I’m working on my Water and making sure I get up and walk. The rest of the time, I’m sleeping and letting my body heal. Hope you continue with a great recovery.

Did they let you suck on any mints or chew ice when you couldn't drink Water?

Mine is going ok...I have a Wife and two boys. They are all skinny people who can always eat whatever they want! So being around them is kinda hard when they eat their meals. But my Wife has been very good at trying to keep food and smells away from me, so I’m not too tortured! HaHa!

The only thing Iv cheated with is Dill Pickles. But I asked my surgeon yesterday and he said Dill Pickles are fine! So I guess I’m not cheating. So every time I get a strong hunger I eat a pickle and it does the job for me.

My weight loss has been CRAZY!!! I was weighed in my doctors office last Monday and I weighed 475 lbs. I got weighed again yesterday in the same doctors office and weighed 439 lbs. Iv been drinking 4-5 Protein Shakes a day with two scoops of Protein. And Iv also been drinking a gallon of Water every day! But I still lift weights every day...So that’s probably the extra boost I’m getting in weight loss. Iv been so worried about losing muscle and strength after my surgery.

I had partial shoulder replacement 7 years ago. With 3 shoulder scopes before that. At that time I was about 150 pounds lighter. But that surgery was my downfall. I gained a ton of weight after it.

WOW! That’s Awesome! What a cool story! There are always connections some how and some way in this world. Yes I played football for Nebraska 2000-2005. I red shirted my first year which gave me the 5 years.

Oh and on top of my weight. Because of my weight I have diabetes, sleep apnea, high blood-pressure, etc, etc. So all those are another factor of my health that I’m having this surgery.

Hello! Well I’ll be having the Sleeve done on April 11th. Here in the Cornhusker State of Nebraska. I live in Lincoln, Nebraska. I’m 36 years old. I’m honestly embarrassed to say but I’m an ex-football player and a Certified Personal and Strength Trainer. These days I do more Strength training and power lifting. Iv alway been about muscle and power! But wasn’t good about taking good care of myself when it came down to overall health with my body fat. It was a lot easier to tell someone how and what to do than to tell myself. So now I’m tipping the scales at 475 lbs. I still go to the gym everyday and lift weights...but I just can’t seem to kick the eating all the time problem. So I sat down with my wife and kids and parents...and we decided that this surgery would be a great thing for me. Sometimes I feel bad because Iv been giving a great deal of opportunity’s in life with fitness and the knowledge of fitness, but when it comes to food...ITS MY Kryptonite! So I believe this surgery will do wonders for me and my family.

Talking to other people that are going through the same thing that I’m going through! I’m having Bariatric Surgery April 11th!

Yes guys can be D-Bags at the gym! Either they think their all big badass’s or they stand there and just stare at you like lost dogs. Every time I’m in the weight room I enjoy yelling at guys for be D-Bags! LOL!

Anyway, a personal trainer can be very helpful. They will hold you accountable and help you with everything you need!

Honestly to tell you the truth...I was completely against weight loss surgery for years! In my profession I always thought with hard work and dedication...you can lose weight! Well that’s BS!!! Cause I can gain all the muscle in the world but I also gain fat too. I can work hard and lose weight, but I can NEVER keep it off. I realized I have an eating problem. A problem that my knowledge and skills can’t fix. So I decided I needed help. So I looked into Bariatric surgery and decided that it’s an amazing opportunity for me to help me with my eating problem. I will be able to lose the fat Iv been packing on top of my muscles and keep it off. I can be healthier and live longer! I’m am now 100% for Bariatric Surgery!

Good choice to make changes now! It helps in the long run!
