Bryn910 got a reaction from AEdoesRnY in Air Fryer...Convince Me?
I did buy one and used it once. I find it still takes the same amount of time/energy to use the air fryer as it does to use the stove, toaster oven, oven etc.
i made wings in it and I wasn’t thrilled. I prefer to make them my way in the oven anyhow and it’s less mess I find.
But most people rave about them. I purchased mine because of the raving but now not using it lol

You can ask your doctor not to put the surgery name on the paperwork. Legally, your HR/boss (whomever handles the paperwork) cannot speak about the surgery even if it is written. If they do, you can sue!

I did this for my sleeve surgery. I had to do it for 4 weeks 2x/week. They monitored my cardio output, blood pressure and weight during these weeks. They want to make sure you can endure surgery

Aah ok. Some people like to have broths from pho places because it is so flavorable. Or the broth from egg drop Soup.

Oh wow, had no idea about that concerning the shot. Thank you.
If my doc says the iud is the best option I will have to consider it for sure

Right?! Me too. I take other pills, it’s easy to remember and take and it doesn’t need to be inserted in my body for however long. My gyno office actually told me today on the phone there’s a higher dose pill than I am on, I’m going to ask for that if it doesn’t stop soon.

I plan on changing birth control if I cannot continue to take the pill. I had bypass, I see my gyno next week
if I need to change bc, I am opting for the shot or Nuva ring. I wouldn’t mind doing Implanon but I want to start trying for kids within 1year and 9 months and I have read some horror stories about the sticks being removed.
definitely not getting the iud because I have had too many friends get pregnant with it or are actual IUD babies. Besides my sister developed increased blood pressure from having the IUD
i just want something simple lol. I love the pill so much

Bryn910 got a reaction from Frustr8 in TMI - My poop jouney
I have found that milk of magnesia helped when I was freshly post op. And that was around the 8-10 day post op day. I have only needed it that one time.
There are times now (3 months post op) where my poop has been liquid and other days where it’s normal. Once you start eating a variety of foods with Fiber etc. and drink more Water, moving your bowels become easier.

I always make sure I bring a dish I know I can eat; if it’s potluck style etc.
or you can put a little bit of the things you can eat on your plate and keep it with you all the time and nibble so it looks like you’re eating more.
Or if they ask questions, just tell them you aren’t stuffing yourself, you had a bit to eat before coming over or you’re going to hit up another place after this event so no one keeps questioning you.

Bryn910 got a reaction from Frustr8 in Worried about my wife
Yea, it seems like you were anti-surgery from the beginning and are now finding things to be wrong to justify your feelings. If your wife and surgeon feel she’s fine and healthy, then her looks shouldn’t really be of any concern.
If she wants to gain more, that’s her decision. If She is weak and wants to weight train, that’s her decision. I am sorry about your aunt and your family’s loss.
and she has a stomach, she can weight train. She just doesn’t want to maybe?

I honestly think you will be fine. I have been on a few all inclusive vacays pre-op & never ate as much as I thought I would lol.
and your body will tell you when you have had enough I am sure. At least you’re able to tolerate most foods which is great! Just listen to your body and have fun!!
I think the hardest part might be the alcohol though haha

Bryn910 reacted to TeeJay84 in Anyone have their gallbladder removed post op?
I had my gallbladder removed the same time I was sleeved. The hospital said gallbladder removals are a same-day release procedure usually. My recovery from both surgeries seem to be on par with those who just had the sleeve done. It was laparoscopic.

So far I’m able to handle most things fine. I had a ...explosive reaction to guacamole and light sour cream one day. But I ate the same thing the next day with no problem. So it kinda depends. But, overall, digestion is good.

My attacked were incredibly painful and frequent. So I’ll take a little unpredictability with my bowels for a while over that pain any day!

Bryn910 got a reaction from Frustr8 in For those having a bypass revision weighing in at 155?
It really depends on what the insurance companies cover. Like Frust8 stated, some insurance companies have a 1 bariatric surgery per lifetime coverage. If the insurance company gives the patient/doctor a problem about coverage, more documentation and/or test work is needed. But your surgeon will let you know. I feel as if revisions are becoming more common and less people are having to fight for them
