ButtRflyKiSSes got a reaction from FluffyChix in Liquid diet struggles
Oh boy this liquid diet has been a big struggle for me. I was given the sandwich diet which is a combo of two weeks on liquid and two weeks on low carb. I decided I would try the liquid diet just to see how I would do. I still have a month to go before I can qualify for surgery. Being hungry drives me so crazy!! Do you know how many day one's I've had on this liquid diet? I couldn't get through a whole day without having a little something solid to chew.
I am glad to say I may have found my rhythm! I am not getting starvation hungry like I was before, either that or my body is adjusting. I've finally got past day two with nothing solid in my mouth! I pray that I get through the rest of this 2 weeks without going crazy,

I had SIPS 12/17 and I’m very pleased. If you stay on track, you feel great. Carbs makes me bloated and gassy. You figure out what you can and can’t eat. Just went on vacation and ate off my hubbys and kids plates most of the time. Had a mai tai as well...
I take 2 chewable Multi Vitamins and one Calcium. I usually have a Premier Protein shake for B or L plus a yogurt. I’m having a hard time with raw veggies now so I stick to cooked. For dinner I have what the family is eating but focus on Protein first. Biggest change is my eyes are sometimes bigger than my stomach and I’ve over eaten and just don’t feel well afterwards. Other times I’ve eaten a cheeseburger...
    Hope this helps

    Hi,
I had sips in 2015. Like you, I thought the very same way. I can tell you my experience has been all positive. After surgery, I experienced no pain. Stuck to my liquids, soft foods and gradually eating normal foods again. You will get full fast. No fried foods, as now your digestive is completely re-routed so you will experience smelly, oily stools. Not fun, but remember you will only absorb % of your intake. Vitamins regime is multi, Iron, D3, I also still continue with a Premier Protein shake at least 1x a day.
