Pasta is not attractive to me anymore after my sleeve. How about an fish stew or steamed mussels - mmm yum. Same in Paris - Dover Sole Meuniere - yep browned butter and wine reduction sauce with some asparagus as a side. Get eggs - crepes instead of waffles...with fresh fruit. Picture some skinny b***h dressed in high designer fashions eating at an outdoor café - is she going to ruin that figure with a WAFFLE! I think not!
Imagine your skinny self getting her picture taken in front of the Eiffel Tower - ruin that with a WAFFLE! I think not! LOL
I will warn you however, the bread is incredible and european butter too. Do eat some, but be picky!

5/11 over here! I'm so ready and nervous at the same time. Just keep telling myself I'll feel so much better in 6 months. I'd rather deal with some stomach discomfort than heave ho this fat through life.

And won't it be fine when that will happen! I'm dreaming of it myself, yeah the weather is finally getting nicer so I'll put legs on my wishes and start walking more. Just saw my
orthopaedic surgeon, he ordered me PT, that's going to help my sciatica which is why i saw him, extra benefit the exercise will help, with the weight loss and believe you me, it can only help. I am stuck at 323, my body is perfectly satisfied with that, it enjoys me FAT I on the other hand do not. As I have told others I have had arthritis since I was 25, constant low pain, level body-wide, I have had 2 knee replacements, the combination of arthritis and obesity wore them down to bone on bone. And honestly it is wearing me down in so many ways to drag this body around. I have to get this surgery, many of my high school classmates are dying and I don't want to join them yet. Our class reunion will be in August, won't it be wonderful,if no one recognizes me cause I look so good? Ready for this? We graduated 55 years ago May 28th. Yeah I'm old as dirt, but inside I'm younger than Springtime and I want to release her into the sunlight . With my RnY I'll have the tool to do it and I want to hammer it down, wrench it off , plier the real me out from its caccoon of flesh, and nail this weight loss to the wall. How do you like all those tools? I want a whole new wardrobe, bright shades, prints even polka dots. I will bloom[emoji254][emoji259] like nobody's business! WATCH OUT WORLD![emoji290][emoji289][emoji288][emoji274]

Me too, unless I have to return online! The good thing is if it's too small.... I know it will fit eventually!

I have a few worn out Playtex, haven't replaced them because I hope my band size might go down to a 40 or so where there's more hope of finding C cups. Last person I exhibited them to said Well you are a big girl but not exceptional large there! Should have kicked him in his stethoscope, the gynecological twit![emoji15]

Where on Earth do you find bras? I am constantly challenged. All the bra manufacturers assume that if you're this heavy, a significant part of the weight must have gone to your boobs! Anything smaller than a D is so hard to find. What can I say, Never got a visit from the T!tty Fairy!

Know where you are coming from, for my weight I'm smallish only a C at 323. What I am is an extremely oversized Junior, unfortunately Juniors don't go to a 27 or 29 which is where I'd be. I in all probability will end up after weight loss a 15 and that will,be perfectly cool. Don't plan on being a clothing or swimsuit model at 72, I want to be trimmer fitter and healthier. I could rock Dina Merrill or even Grace Kelly easier than Pink or Lady Gaga when all's said and done. Even Cybill Shepherd or Candice Bergen.

Thanks everyone! I think they can be pretty expensive, so I don't think I will buy entire outfits. But I am thinking 1 pair of jeans, and 1 pair of simple black work slacks that for the next few sizes. Shirt are easier because I've always worn blouses that are more flowy than fitted and they should last me a few sizes I think. Besides, my weight loss has never historically hit my breast area until the end, so the girls will keep the shirt filled out I think...
However the wrap dress is a great idea! They are not cheap, but they could be a good investment!

I'm doing lots of wrap dresses, flared if possible, which tend to bridge a lot of sizes.

161 oz of Fluid, might as well take my meals to the bathroom because that is where you will find me. Pfooey I already have urge/overflo incontinence, I sure won't have time to wash dishes etc.The best benefit? I won't have time to cook big meals for my family. Just hand them the ready sliced Hillshire Farms meat,a chunk,of cheese and tell them I'll see them later when I drain out![emoji19]

Neon Star got a reaction from Healthy_life2 in 40+ what is age appropriate clothing to you?
Istopped keeping up the last trends after I graduated high school, LOL! I'm 62 and these days I dress for comfort more than looks while still being presentable. I see some folks in my age bracket wearing clothing that I think is far more appropriate for 20's-30's, but if they're happy, that's what important. Older guys in Speedos?? Nah.

I agree! I am hoping that my diabetes will at minimum improve and at best be resolved. I am currently taking 3 different meds and an injection daily. I also have high cholesterol and fibromyalgia. Asthma as well. I have lost my energy and my mojo lol! I feel that this tool will put me in control of my life. I want to keep up with my 5 little grandchildren and have a longer and healthier life. We can do this!

When my day[emoji414] comes, and I pray it is soon, I hope I share your sense of humor. Mind you. I will be planning to check for excess fingerprints [emoji252]on my sweet bod, 5-7 tiny[emoji380] slits ,that will be ok. But no handprint[emoji112] and I may dust my lady parts for fingerprints also. Scrubbed to the knees, hmnn, I hope the surgical soap comes in gallon jugs, because I do cover fairly large acre-age. Maybe they had better use a bar- b -que brush or better yet a paint roller. If they charge my insurance by the square inch, the bill[emoji412] just went up. And they had better have sufficent anesthesia, I don't like being cold and being nekkid as a newly hatched jaybird could just wake me back up! My son could tell them "she gets cranky,[emoji58]when she's cold!" I will probably never forget that day and before they are through with me they may not either.[emoji541] If you feel the earth moving and shaking about that time, it is not the New Madrid Mo. Fault shifting, it's just ME.[emoji117][emoji14][emoji118]And alas 6 other people will know whether I'm a redhead all over or not![emoji57]

When I first started this journey, I could not walk one block without needing to stop due to back pain and breathlessness. Today, I walked 2.7 miles. I was slow -- it took me an hour and 16 minutes -- but my back held up, and I felt really good and grateful the whole time.
Anyone else have any non-scale victories to share?

And holding a blubbery liver back could also bruise it. We had an OP on here suffering from post-surgical liver problems. Think I'll listen to whatever my surgeons says and make my liver clean, lean and fit, even if it takes the dreaded liquid diet[emoji22]

Hi, I'm actually on week 2 of a 6-week liquid diet. Day 3 was the hardest (I feel sorry for my family), but it has gotten better. I find that the Protein Drinks do fill me up.
To keep busy I play video games, look up post-op recipes, and try to prep everything that I'll need for after the surgery so that I have no concerns except for healing. When I feel myself focusing on food too much, I go and watch the videos of others that had wls and were successful. Next thing I know, 30-60 minutes have passed and the cravings are gone.
The first few days will be tough but you can do this!

Hi. I was on liquid diet before surgery for two weeks. I felt unsure of how it would go too. Do you have hobbies or activities you enjoy? Be ready to engage yourself in those to keep your mind occupied and your body busy. Puzzles helped me a lot. Be ready to complain to an understanding family member or friend. I was worried about my liver not being small enough and that motivated me to get through each day. When I asked my surgeon if my liver was small, she said that it was very, very small. I had an odd sense of accomplishment. lol
Fingers crossed that all goes well for you.

I want to thank everyone for your thoughts and encouragement. I've been approved for the surgery and will get my surgery date this week. Probably early May because I have an important wedding on 4/29. Everything about this scares me but I know it must be done. I've proven many times I can't do this on my own. Along with the surgery date I'll be given a date to meet with nutritionist for pre-op diet instructions. None of this is easy for any of us and I appreciate any help I can get as I find my way through this process.
