    Uncontrollable binge eating PO

I’m going through this too. Especially with being cooped up inside. Could really use some serious help now. Sounds crazy but it’s feels good to hear I’m not the only one. I’m 2 years out as well....
  2. Coming across this thread now. I actually have just been given the PCOS diagnosis and I am a year and 4 months out from surgery.....go figure!

    First half marathon

I hear you. The course was absolutely stunning. A few times I caught myself looking around instead of focusing, lol. And you are completely right. Seeing and feeling what I am capable of is the most amazing feeling. Thanks for the support. On the the next one 😎

    First half marathon

I had surgery 3/2018. As soon as they gave me the ok to exercise, I did and have built up since then. For the few weeks I’ve been able to complete 13.1 miles. I run 3x a week and cross train. Running schedule consists of 4 hill miles, then a fast 6 miles then the long run. Cross training consists of weights and HIIT on off days and 2 rest days. Fueling has been ok. Although, I hate eating pasta now, I eat it before I run and while I run I drink Gatorade. Still haven’t mastered the stomach issues that come after my long run though 😦 After reading your post, that Gatorade may be the issue, lol!!

    First half marathon

Running my first race on 5/19. It will be one hell of a race because it’s a long distance. I can complete the distance on my own an I am confident I will do well. My question is, what can I expect? How are these things structured? I am nervous because I’ve never done one of these and being around all those people running at the same time, lol. And advice would be appreciated :)
  7. I am in the same boat you are in. I was sleeved 3/26/18 and down 140 lbs. Started around 290lbs, now approx 150lbs (it fluctuates). My gym pointed out the picture I took when I first joined and I couldn’t even recognize myself. I had to take a closer look. I do exercise a lot. Love running now and want to do a half marathon in May. However, I just missed my first period (unrelated to pregnancy) in 22 years. To me it’s sign of too much, too soon. Need to pay a visit to the nutritionist to educate myself on how to properly fuel while training and gyno of course. I really do not pay mind to others opinions of how thin I may look to them. After all, these are people who love me and are used to seeing me obese....I understand their views but I am at a healthy weight/BMI so there is no cause for concern. However, I also need to make sure all is good on my part when my body sends a warning. Thank you for posting this. Very much needed. Good luck and congrats :)
  8. Stick with your vitamins, stick with your protein. I too had fine hair and lost a lot. Now 9 months out, it’s growing back. Been reading up on vitamin E and may start eating wheat germ and sunflower seeds (1oz) to help accelerate the regrowth.

    Running/Racing & Training...what to expect?

I’m 5 months post op and running about 4 miles 4 times a week. I’m trying to prevent injury so resting in between.Cross training is something i need to do more but I love the simplicity of jogging and love how far I’ve come in 5 months. I have about 7 more lbs to lose until I hit 100lbs lost. Once I get there I will invest in personal training and begin toning and building muscle hopefully that will propel me to a 10k. I can’t wait 🤩 Good luck to you on your journey.

    I Can Run

Me too! I love it! I missed it so much. I’m right where you are girl and hope to do a 5K soon! The weight has also melted off since surgery by taking on running. Congrats!

    Calorie intake

    4.5 months out 1200 calories a day. Down 85lbs.
  12. I took 2 weeks and did well. I did not have a choice. But if you can take 3, why not? It’s a big adjustment and focusing on yourself for as long as you could will only benefit you.

    Grossed out

Since this surgery, certain things have amazed me. First, how tastes change. I think this is crazy! Like Creekimp13 said, I’ll take the distaste for sweets for now! Second, how weight fluctuates after. I was teetering between the same 4 lbs for weeks. Exercising/eating well. Then just this morning I was down an additional 4 lbs out of nowhere.
