    Sleeve Pals?

Sorry if this is in the wrong category(Please feel free to tell me where to put it if I'm wrong!). But I figured maybe this could be a good place to make friends with people with similar experiences. I thought it might be great to have a thread where you can post a bit about your interests and your surgery, and someone with similar ones can message you and become maybe pen pals/Weight Loss buddies. 😄 I'm sure I'm not the only one who wouldn't mind sharing experiences and cheering each other on! I suppose a bit about myself 😄 I'm from California, and I started at 357 pounds, I'm currently at 267 pounds. I had gotten to almost 257 pounds, but gained some back due to insane stress from school and a loss of my dog. I struggle a bit with depression and anxiety, but I've been trying to better myself! I am a huge anime nerd and I like to play video games. I attend anime conventions, and cosplay. Which is how I met my sweetheart of a boyfriend. I'm currently in community college trying to get my AA in Psychology before going off to get my BA, and so on. 😄 I had my surgery April 12, 2018, and it was one of the best decisions in my life. I'm 23, almost 24 in July. Feel free to message me if you have similar interests! 😄 Would love to make friends! Also feel free to post about yourself if you'd like to try to make friends.

    In need of motivation u.u

I'm a year out of surgery. Lost 100 pounds and I'm proud of myself. But I've recently gained weight due to insane stress and depression. I was wondering if anyone else had a similar experience, and how you motivated yourself to get back up. I have another appointment with my surgeon and he's always super nice, but I feel terrible for not being able to lose, especially because I would like to lose another 100 pounds to my goal weight. I know how to handle my diet now, but I just need better motivation. What do you girls do to keep yourself on track? 😄 Would love to help someone with similar problems too. I feel like everyone needs some motivation from time to time, so maybe we can use this thread to cheer each other on! 😄 Hope your diets are going great!

1 Year Post Op - What are you eating?

My surgeon tells me I should still be taking 2 shakes a day. So I've just been following that. 😄 That's a great idea! Thanks! I'll take a look at all of those!
  4. I'm just curious to see what other people's diets are like. I've been careless lately and I've decided to motivate myself! So I wanna see what other people do for each meal to get good ideas! c: Also, if you have any good recipes to make protein shakes taste amazing, feel free to share! I've added about two spoonfuls of low fat ice cream and that helps a lot! I'm super picky so I'd really appreciate more ideas of how to make the shakes enjoyable. c: I've lost about 100 pounds c: I still need another 100 to get to my goal! I hope you all are doing great progress too!
  5. I got gastric sleeve about 10 months ago. I feel like I'm eating too much and haven't really lost any weight for about a month now. So I'm worried. I have my next appointment soon, but I figured I'd ask people here. ❤️ If you're 10+ months post op, how much do you eat in one day?? Any tips on how to keep losing? I'm starting to exercise more too! I just get hungry easier now!
  6. I'm staying at a hotel for 5 nights, and I'm trying to think of what to bring for my meals. We only get a tiny mini fridge and a coffee maker. So I need ideas on what I could bring that don't require refrigeration or an oven or microwave. Everything I can think of isn't very healthy for me, such as those bags of mashed potatoes that you just add water to. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm about 1 month and a week post-op and able to eat solid foods that aren't too hard or tough. If you guys were in this situation, what would you bring? So far, all I can think of is getting cheese that doesn't take up much space, like the laughing cow ones. But I can't just live off of those.
  7. I got sleeved 4/12. I've been doing really well and I've lost 38 pounds so far. Dr. Zare was super amazing and helpful. Every appointment I'd come in and have every single one of my questions answered in a way I totally understood. And his staff were all super friendly and helpful. I've only heard good things about him. And I can confirm he did great! I'm hoping to not have to have surgery again, but if I had to recommend anyone, I'd definitely suggest him. I stayed at Good Samaritan and that was amazing too. Other than the bed liked to beep and wake me up but that was no ones fault. lol. Anyone else went to him?
