    Post RNY (April 12)

Hello [emoji112] I feel good other than the gas. All I can say is walk, walk, walk to help relieve the pain. Eating is no longer a "I better stop and not eat that" to " it's time for me to eat". Sipping is now the way of life and being on tune with my new pouch is a skill that needs perfecting. I took a gulp of water yesterday and swallowed before I realized what I did. The pressure was not a happy feeling. I do not have regrets and look forward to experiencing life all over again. Raven Moonsong is the name I legally changed to and thank you so much. I see the doctor for my 1 week post and per his program it states 30 to 40 grams of protein per day during the 2 week all liquid diet. I will bring this up at my appt. Thanks guys Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920AZ using BariatricPal mobile app
  3. I had my surgery on April 12th and everything went well. I had a hiatal hernia which was fixed during the operation. I am home and still dealing with the gas pains in my left upper quadrant and wondering what else I can do besides walk. The pain gets so bad sometimes I feel that maybe there is something wrong. I also would like to know about the calorie intake. I drink one Premier Protein Shake a day for the 160 calories and 30 grams of protein and I also consume a protein-rich cream chicken soup from the HMR program. So I am getting in at least 35 grams of protein a day plus as much water as I can drink. When I chart it today in the bariatric app I noticed that my calories are under 350 for a day. Is this normal and I doing something wrong? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920AZ using BariatricPal mobile app

    Skim milk diet

I live on Vancouver, Wa. Here is what the surgeons office emailed me when I asked why this diet The surgeon’s choose to utilize the skim milk diet prior to bariatric surgery due to it’s effectiveness in shrinking the liver in a short period of time, the simplicity which promotes compliance and it’s low cost! They have had great success with this plan over the years and feel the weight loss prior to surgery decreases the amount of surgical time, which is a benefit for the patient. Skim milk diet

Hello everyone, today is my first day on a skim milk only diet. My surgeon uses this diet plan as the pre-op diet. I will be doing 20 oz of skim milk 3 times a day for the next 3 weeks. Has anyone else done this diet?[emoji2] Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920AZ using BariatricPal mobile app
