Going from emotional eating to under eating

I just finished my Rn program and had my surgery while I was in my 7th quarter out of 8 and did my surgery on a Thursday and was back in clinical on Monday! I was a stress eater from school exams teachers life clinical and ATI. I replaced my eating with exercise and studying you have to not let yourself! Eat on a routine and get your body use to your routine so there are no in betweens!

    Craving pickle juice

I love pickle juice and yes it’s salty but so are protein drinks! My Nutritionist suggested that I make pickle pops so I froze the pickle juice in pop container I think they were Sesame Street ones because that was all I could find and I ate them the ice forced me to eat them much slower as a precaution but it turns out my body likes them as much as I was craving them and I ate them... eventually I got tired of them and moved on to power-aide sugar free... and then sugar free Jell-o

    Alcoholic Drinks

I waited 5 months to have a drink and when i did I had vodka! I drank shots and followed it with crystal light I may have gone over board a tad.... but it was my birthday I had fun HOWEVER... the next three days I felt hung over and I felt guilty for drinking because all I could think about was carbs carbs sugar and hurting my liver and my spouse said I was trying to shove food in my mouth... I never want to be fat again so I decided alcohol is not for me I use to drink a lot in college and I am just worried about waking up that LiL monster and ruining all that I have worked hard for!

    Air fryer!!!

I want to buy one is it worth it?
  6. My surgeon suggested ice and sugar free ice pops because he felt it would help with the swelling I did premiere with the PBfit powder lots of ice in a Stanley therm. loved it!
  7. Eatting can be a struggle I read that others state that you might be fixed on calories and realistically only you know your struggle! I eat between 800-900 calories a day because it can be a struggle to eat especially eating the right things, and avoid the fear of getting fat again! I am 6 months out of surgery and have lost 145lbs I sometimes feel that I don’t have enough time in the day to eat and make sure I get my liquids in. I would suggest logging in all u eat on Baritastic it helps us to see what we eat and counting calories is not a bad thing... if we counted calories in the first place we wouldn’t have needed the surgery to begin with so why not count them now to make sure we are successful! Always remember that you are in control of what you put in and you have the tools and the support you need!
