dsapeg69 reacted to Sweettoothless in Tailbone
YES! I mentioned it to my urologist that I happened to be at. It is starting to hurt less. I was even sitting on an inflatable donut in the car and in a chair. I thought it was from hard poop trauma (before I started glycerin suppositories) and was embarrassed! It felt the same as the time many years ago I bruised it by falling hard. This time I didnt do anything. I did lose butt and foot fat before anything else (i'm almost 3 months in)

Everyone's body reacts differently, just listen to your body, if your tired relax don't over do it.

I use the recumbent bike at the gym to loosen up my arthritic right hip and have started having pain in my tailbone. I was thinking I may need to get a pad for the seat.

I have added 2 cushions to the chair I sit in while watching TV and had to get one of those silicone honey-comb cushions for my seat at work. Princess and the Pea, anyone?

Yes can drive you crazy, I was reading some articles on rapid weight loss and tailbone problems, we not the only ones, lol but it is a problem that may have to be discussed with gastric bypass surgery not everyone who has this problem don't discuss it with their doctors, which they should.

dsapeg69 reacted to Naughty Glitter Goddess in CBD oil
My husband and I both use CBD and have been doing so for about a year. We live in a legal state but due to my huband's job in the medical profession he steers clear of THC as a precaution. We initially tried it for helping with anxiety and joint pain and we've both had huge success. Here are our findings...
Several companies make disposable vape pens with CBD only. We take 2-3 puffs from this to calm anxiety in the moment. Works really well for both of us and we have not experienced any side effects. Also works for pain but doesn't last as long.
We use CBD oil for body pain. My husband finds that it works to relieve his sciatica pain as well as lower back pain. He's getting back in to running and this has been particularly helpful to mitigate some of the muscle soreness as well. I use the CBD oil for knee and foot pain primarily. It really helps me pull out of a plantar fasciitis episode more quickly.
I did use a combination of CBD/THC for insomnia. When I was doing that, I found that it worked much better and longer lasting on my pain the following day as well. I highly recommend it for folks in a legal state. I have managed well on CBD only for the past 3 months as I was preparing for this surgery. Hoping that many of my aches and pains will be alleviated with weight loss and I can go back to using cannabis products intermittently just for fun!
And finally, my cat has been on it for 3 months for arthritis pain and she is more active than she's been in 5 years. I'm a fan, obviously!

6 month check up
90 pounds lost since surgery (117 since first visit)
75 pounds to go to my personal goal , so I am a bit behind projection schedule for 1 year.
I was low on A and Zinc so adding extra supplements (but don’t need Iron or D).
No longer taking meds for cholesterol and diabetes ( this was major goal!)
Usually drinking 75+ oz. Water daily
I no longer have foot, ankle, knee pain and can walk over 10,000 steps daily without problems.
I was doing 1 hour water aerobics but need to replace now that pool is closed.
Clothes falling off but getting lots from my sister and friends so I’ve only had to buy a couple items.
No problems with eating except that I have to use more self control because I do have cravings....and can eat pretty much anything ( not eating rice, potatoes, Pasta ...trying to keep under 50 carbs.). I have eaten some bread, crackers, pretzels. Mostly eating yogurt, eggs, shakes, meat, cheese and occasionally some salad and a bite or two of veggies or fruit. I really don’t feel deprived.
I get lots of compliments and support but feel I still have a long way to go!

Going in for my 6 month follow-up today. Thought I'd post some updated pictures and stats. Currently in a size 8 - have lost 86 pounds - 35 pounds to goal. Pictures taken last week.
Have not had any issues. food and eating is pretty perfunctory for me now. I don't really get hungry. I don't really crave anything. I eat pretty much anything I want, but continue to make good choices - lean Proteins first, veggies next, then perhaps a carb (particularly if I'm plateaued for awhile) just to jump start the weight loss again. Not too bad with sagging skin - arms and tummy and inner thighs but not completely unsightly.
hair thinning seems to have slowed - I did get what they call a "topper" to help fill out the hair - I'm wearing it in the top left and bottom right pictures. Looking forward to my hair coming back in full
That's it for the 6 month update.

March 26 was my surgery date. Down 104, 80 away from my goal weight. Feel great, it’s hard but everything worth anything always is. Exercise is so much for fun now. Energy levels have gone way up. Anybody eating Protein Bars yet ?

Hello MGBG-ers! Had my 3 month follow-up yesterday with my surgeon. Everything looks great! All of my labs are normal - my A1C is excellent, my Vitamin D is back to normal range, all vitals look excellent! Weight loss is on track and I am completely free to do any form of exercise that I want - no restrictions
I plateaued for about a week again - but I'm ok with that. It gives my skin time to catch up and I view these plateaus as the perfect time to do toning exercises for my stomach and arms.
But this morning, the scale started moving again!
I know things will slow down - but I also know that I will continue to lose weight for the next year or so (12-18 months is the window of most weight loss)
Hope everyone is doing well!

Awesome to see so much success on this page! That first month was brutal for me but the last two months have been amazing. Lots of scale and non-scale victories -- I cross my legs all the time and actually enjoy walking and cleaning my house! I have a job interview today for a position that would be a step-up from my current role and I have more confidence than I've ever had going into an interview, 100% because of the weight loss. One of my best decisions ever!

dsapeg69 got a reaction from BeeCat in Trim and fit
Its been a journey since March 9th until now my weight loss has been slow and steady now I feel stronger, lighter, able to concentrate more on short goals. My workouts change every day so that helps me to stay focus. My current weight is 160 lbs from 245 lbs, now my size is a 10 from a 20. One thing that is my encouragement is that I bought a Fitbit to keep going and to motivate me every day you should see me talking it like it's a real person, lol.
