@Orchids and Dragons. I'm sure my surgeon will remind me of all these things closer to surgery times but I love picking up these little factoids. You veterans have walked the walk already and now you really understand where our questions come from. Theory is nice, but actual experience means a lot also.👍

Most embarrassing diet/exercise product you've ever bought?
Frustr8 replied to Creekimp13's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
@kordie do you remember the follow-up,song to " it's my party and I'll cry if I want to"? The answer " It's Judy's turn to cry" the artist was Lesley Gore, she died about a c year ago of lung cancer. The last picture I saw of her she resembled what I would think a chubby New Jersey housewife would look like. But the girl could sing and was a member of my generation. R I P Ms Lesley.😒 -
love how all you Texas ladies found each other. If you all are an example. Texas Rocks!😝

To paraphrase Katy Perry I ate some home-frozen with Mio yogurt And I liked it😝

yeah I sure hope no more, I've met all Medicare already, Ohio Medicaid my secondary only requires 3 months, and unless the hospital requires anything else themselves I should be sliding in on a thick latter of Crisco or my,own fat melting. Like the mental image, I sure do! LOL😝

I think if I am invited to any holiday bashes and it's getting fewer because the older generation on both sides is dying off and my generation doesn't give a flip whether they come or not. That said I will put a small amount,on my plate, move it around a lot so it looks like I'm eating and engage in conversation more than actually chomping. One,of my other handicaps is I now have dentures. So hard raw vegetables are more I don't think so than an out-right no no. As to travel to other countries, no other country overloads their, plates like we Americans do, even my Canadian cousins are more prudent with their food selections. What looks tiny to our plumped out mindset may look perfectly logical to them. I married into a Dutch family, it took 2 generations before they came close to eating the amount we do . I was raised farmergirl style, we raised,it, we knew it was as chemical free as possible to take those mashed potatos, gravy and a couple thick slices of pork or beef. Load the rest of your plate with vegetables in real butter sauce. That was always there, we had cream and one of the little girl chores along, with gathering eggs was churning butter, be it a wooden or hand one, and yes I've used both, we weren't Amish just country Methodist. And if there was room left, there were homemade pies, cakes and cookies for dessert. See why my fat cells got so,plump? Biking, a good idea, start out with miniruns and build up to your cross country goal. And if you happen to visit my Dutch cousins-in- law, they may not feed you as heavy, but you can ride all over the Netherlands with them. Hope you do meet all your goals. As Bloody Mary says in South Pacific You got to have a dream Cause if you don't have a dream How you gonna have a dream come true? Smiles and hugs my friend!😝

Thanks Orchids & Dragons, all I could come up with on my own was cottage cheese, with or without water packed or own juice. Hummus sounds especially good, I always liked chickpeas/garbanzo anyway. Used to add them to salads. Hoping to prove I can be complinant to advice, don't know why I can't get rid of trying to please people, I know I should be able to rely on myself, but inside I'm not so sure. Even at my age life is still a learning experience😝

Has anybody done the one where you put a rubber band on your wrist and snap yourself everyone you feel hunger? Might end up blistering yourself that way.😝 -

And I'm on Dexilant, my gastroenterologist calls it the "Ferrari of stomach medicine" I went through Priliosec and Nexium, might as well have been chewing candy. Dexilant, if I had no insurance coverage, over $300 and that's a 1 month supply at WalMart, Giant Eagle also that low, CVS and RiteAid, take out a personal lianvat your bank, that's the only way that you could afford. THEIR PRICES!😒 -
Where are all the 50 something bypass patients?
Frustr8 replied to choosehope's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
My story has taken a positive twist. We dnesday Aprilb25 2018.,]+Dr douglas Kramer staff psychologist at Martha Morehouse Pavilion in Columbus Ohio more than passed me clearly to move on towards surgery The next step will be a final stop at the Victory Bench. Then the gauge will be changed to a wider one, one I can travel on for the rest of my life. I fear neither train for thewill transport me to where I need to go and am ready, so ready, for both trips. Still I do need to meet my case manager, dietician and nurse practitioner May 25th, then final steps will be date assignment maybe meet my surgeon ? I have done so much already, know which surgery I am requesting, made my mind up about it a long time ago, no fear, no reservations, no anxiety in my ❤heart just an overwhelming desire to have completion.😝 -
@KKW those were the initials I was born with, gave me a jolt when I saw them. Good luck with your healing😝

Weight loss dreamin' on such a pretty day. I'm aiming for under 300, but I keep missing, but I shall do it, I'm less than 30 lbs away. Then after I reach ,twoferville onederland will next be n my scope. I want 175, most doctors want 138, but if I can get lower than 200 I will feel surgery and diet will, not be in vain. I will still be a big girl but I will not be a morbidly obese old woman anymore. And I'll look, like my heart and soul have always been, A great and grateful, person glad to be alive.😝🌹😝

I may be wrong but I think if you are on a XR or SR medication they switch you to another version. Something. to do with transit times with pouches and sleeves. Our intestinal systems get boogered up, that's why we suddenly lose weight,at an increased speed.⚡😝 -
@browneyez, no surprise to me, I knew all along you'd sail⛵right through. You're quality, you know, often the best man for a job is a woman anyway! Now do your sipping, walking, and healing and be a good influence on me!😝

Dayum, you done trumped me when I had something to share Drea. I passed my revaluation this AM and the Bariatric Choo Choo is back on track and chugging forward. Doesn't look like May since I won't be going to meet case manager, dietician and nurse practioner until May 24th, so maybe June? I will keep you all updated, gosh I feel so much better😝, not only that things are moving but also about myself. Try as you may, you can't escape blaming yourself. It's bad enough when the world screws you over, but to fear it's something you yourself did? Bad Sad Scene😖. But life is cool, I'm no fool 😍and I'll no longer let anyone treat me cruel😈

In somewhat the same blue venue as the last poster and Netflix Question: Well how are they hanging, Harry? Answer: One behind the other, more streamlined and better aerodynamic speed!
