Following the Dr but 2 Wks post & stalled/overeating?
Frustr8 replied to vsg4vfc's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Slow down maybe on the speed of drinking your shake, science says it does take a good 15 minutes for your appetite to acknowledge you've eaten or drank something. Slow down things, I promise I'm not coming over to swipe food from you. I'm an only child but I've always ate like I had 7 brothers and sisters reaching for my turkey drumstick. it's been HARD for me to reform and chew instead of bolting my meals down. -

But I can't help but feel he'll also love you thinner and healthier. Don't worry about his ex's problems, he traded up,to a much better, smoother, working model when he got you and I suspect he knows that already. Highs and ❤Frustr8 -

Friend's partner depressed
Frustr8 replied to Numbheart's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
So glad you had your bullfrog 🐸 moment, it's the little things like that give the rest hope on a gloomy day. We all have them, as a depressive myself trying to make her way back, we have more than our share. But that hopeful glimmer lights our way out. I will make me way out and I pray Numbheart's friend will also😓. Sometimes time can cure a lot. -

Has anyone else had an esophageal perforation during surgery?
Frustr8 replied to Ellie_May's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Uber frightening. I must confess this NOT something I was contemplating. Well I will take comfort that my surgery will be taking place in a top-line trauma center and teaching hospital🏣. Loads of primary, intermediate and senior level surgeons. Only way I would suffer any problems is if there were too many fingers in my quickly cracked open chest and abdominal areas, just get it clamped off if it's bleeding-- you can sort out whose territory it is, when things calm down, gentlemen!😷✌ -
Don't buy into the "Think of the starving children in(insert country here) brainwashing our parents gave us as children. My own, bless their ❤ and Lord Grant them Peace, had just emerged from the Depression. a scant decade before. They felt it was their Christian Duty as parents to plump me up in case of another famine. Now as I am eating and drinking a diet designed to slenderize earthworms and exercising like the Viet Cong were chasing me with bayonets at full tilt, I wonder if I had been better off with less devoted dietarily parents. They literally nearly killed me with their kindness. If you shipped me. to the South Sudan I'd still be living off of fat when they all died off.I would suggest sending me to the atheists except everyone of them I've encountered were also fine people. Oh fiddlesticks, I'll just have to reform to the best of my abilities.💇

Frustr8 replied to Ylime's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have Lincare, they have been super, not one problem anywhere. The tech, Chico, who taught me the little ins-and-outs my sleep, lab forgot, clear through the misc. little monthly changes of. nose pads and filters. The new items are here just when promised, they check, with me monthly to make sure everything ok. Now if my bariatric care team functions as well I will be a super happy camper.😛 -
May 30th Surgery Buddies? & 2 week liquid diet!
Frustr8 replied to miss_smiles's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes but if you suddenly start mooing or develop small horns, you definitely have enough of the milk diet. Are you,in a Commonwealth country by Chance? It seems like the UK and it's former children have this kind of diet before surgery. Hey if it works, it works!😛 -
Well I guess that was another dream shot down. It's like good weight loss , if you want good results, you really have,to,work very hard to achieve it. No free rides of any kind. it's just like,i told. Sister Jean way back, I just don't think,it's going,to work. She said-- we all had the potential to become true, martyrs. Yeah the fame would be nice but that initiation is a killer literally. So,i guess I'm not fated to go down,in history,as " Blessed Frusrt8 the Bewidered", drat, so sainthood isn't for everyone after all. No free rides in religion as well. Going to mean more if I put some "ooomph " into the project, in ever so many ways 😣

Frustr8 replied to gully90's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
When I had knee # 1 replaced , I had Mr Pumperoo on my legs. loved him ,really thought,it helped, while I used it my achy ole legs felt good. Scroll forward to knee#2. not only, did I not get my little squeezy buddies. they had me up on my feet walking all over the place, made them happy. Been over a year and I still don't think it's right. -
GALS who started their journey over 300 lb+<br /> +
Frustr8 replied to Frustr8's topic in The Gals' Room
Well when I was in my mid 200s I thought I was fated to live out my life at 245-250, sure I knew it was,how the healthiest of sizes but at that I'd vary ⬆and⬇ the famous 5 pounds, then suddenly I ballooned out over 300 pounds, what happened? I really didn't get that much less active, then the pounds started sneaking on, I was holding uneasily at 325 pounds, Frussie old girl, I said we must bring the PCP into the mix because decreasing portion size and walking more was not helping. So off I marched my plump drumsticks, into the doctors office. Doctor Dear,I said , I think its time to enlist the help of a diet drug. So I got a script for Phenteramine and set out to use It. Oh I used it religiously, ever time I said "Oh Lord, Please make this work!" at the end of the month I marched into the office and climbed into the scale. Had I lost weight? Oh, no I had gained 30 bubbly pounds-- In strolled Dr PCP, took one look at my chart, uttered the professional equivalent of WTF and said I was going back to the Bariatric Surgeon, did I want him to make the appointment or would I go quietly and willingly? So off I went to Columbus, humbled myself and resumed with the same one I already went, through before, did everything over again and then still I got denied my surgery, so I'm,trying again once, more at perhaps where I should have been at the beginning, these people seem to truly want me, work with me and things look good. Have I lost bundles of weight? No just the evil 30 lbs and a little more, but I'm still sticking to it, even while it is so wearing. I have been in this fight since August 2015, Hector was a pup then and now he's a full grown dog. And people who started long after me receive their surgery, and like the world's oldest cheerleader, I wave my pompoms and urge them on. And they climb,to the top, them slide downhill on the other side into the future. Just a flash of light and then yet another ones gone. Thursday I find out, when, how soon and whether there is anything more to do, cause if there isn't give me the verdompt, surgery, give me a date. I'll hitch a ride if necessary, just give me a date to hang my hopes on. PLEASE?😪 -
Welcome to the Popular Diet Forum!
Frustr8 replied to Alex Brecher's topic in GLP-1 & Other Weight Loss Medications (NEW!)
Shouldn't it be Live-It instead of Diet? Maybe I'm being narrower in my outlook, but I think Eternal Vigilence against Devious Snackland is in order. I want to do Well, but like an Alcoholic with alcohol I'm going to have to be careful these bad things don't sneak into my life again. 😣 -
